Castro Hotel 

Have read the reviews before going there. Travelling with a 7yo kid in late august, early September we have found as follows: cozy little rooms (I guess the only drawback of the hotel is the rooms size, at least in the main building where we had room 24, cleaning in the rooms was on daily basis, fresh towels and bedsheets every day. ) with individual air-conditioner, nice and helpful staff, good food, decent prices. The location is good, on the main street, can be noisy by night, but not disturbing. Shops restaurants and beach nearby. We usually chose the Heaven beach bar, a nice little walk from the hotel. I'd recommend the hotels restaurant, Maxim, with tasty food, not expensive at all. We had half board, the breakfast was minimalist, but cannot complain about it, because we have found each morning something different, never felt that we needed more. The dinner was a la carte, choosing from a menu, with plenty of choices, cannot say it was boring. We had the lunch in different places, being on the move most of the time. Some people complained about dirty pool, that is not true, it was clean, the area well maintained, a few leaves from the trees, but nothing gross. We had a magnificent stay, we got more that expected. If you're on a budget don't hesitate, you'll get much more value to your money than in a cheap 4* hotel. I will come back for sure. Be nice to the staff, because they give 110% for the clients to have a great holiday. About the beach: someone said that there was an industrial plant nearby. Well this is true, but it is a couple of kilometers away, the water was crystal clear, nothing to complain about.
