A++ We were looking forward to San Sebastian but were worried it may be a bit touristy for us - this place completely resolved that! It offered accommodation that balances relaxed authentic atmosphere, beautiful location, & proximity to San Sebastian all at a crazy reasonable price. We stayed here 6 nights and I know we would have only lasted in San Seb for 3 if we were staying somewhere in town. It has authentic Spanish character, stunning views, an excellent kitchen for self catering & lovely hosts! They patiently let us practice Spanish & gave excellent local info on food/bus. Getting to San Seb is easy, there's a good path that's paved to the bus stop which takes 5-8 minutes and the bus comes every 15 minutes into town! We'd catch the last bus back after a night of tapas. You have walking tracks to stunning views of the ocean on your door step (15 min - 2 hour walks at your preference) and there is also a little ferry that can take you to Pasai Donibane (worth a visit) very close by. There is also a really lovely setup with tables and chairs overlooking an amazing view - so if cracking open a bottle of red wine after a day at the beach and loosing yourself in a view is up your alley - this place would be ideal! Options at san seb with views were too expensive so those in our budget had no communal area (decks, balconys or patios that was worth using decks) so we were very happy we made the choice to stay here. We had a car, which we thought may be necessary to stay in a place like this, but it's not. We actually chose to bus into town, as it's so convenient and only used the car to explore villages outside of San Seb. One night we missed the last bus (bit too many tapas and vino tinto) and it only cost €9 to taxi home! We are a 26 year old couple.
