We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Poveste for the New Year's.

The food was absolutely fantastic - truely authentic dishes from Bucovina.

The accomodation was clean and combined perfectly the old with the comfort of the new.

The views were out of this world - check the photo out.

We went skying - very close to the accomodation.

P.S. Great strong traditional alcoholic drinks!

I’ve spent at Casa Poveste the last weekend for 2 nights and I must say it was an incredible experience. From the hosts, staff to the food. The location consists of 5 refurbished traditional house that look incredible and preserve the architecture and design of the region from over 150 years ago. The room are very cozy and warm, we slept very well! The bathroom was small, but chique and most important functional!

The owners and staff were very warm and very welcoming people, they are always trying to make you feel at home and being always available to help with whatever you'd need. The food is an entire story in itself. Very tasty, authentically local, abundant and home made.

Will be returning when available and bring along family and friends.

Dream location in an exceptional natural setting.  Traditional houses which have been relocated from the region and tastefully refurbished.  The decorations are exceptional and the owners gladly share the story of each object.  Very friendly reception, excellent food made with delicious products from the region. It is a very quiet place ideal for families with small kids and for couples looking for a relaxing gateway close to nature. There is decent list of activities to do in the nearby and in the region. I would come back again. Thanks again for the hospitality

Very nice place to stay for one night or more. We've been there four times and we haven't had enough of it. Very kind and helpfull staff and very good food. It may look expensive for Romania but it worths all the money. The place is close to Rarău Mountains, so it's ideal for a day trip to the top.

Before the quarantine period, I decided to come back to Romania ( from the UK) and go away for the weekend with my girlfriend and parents. I wanted to present my girlfriend to an authentic Romanian experience and this is how I ended up at Casa Poveste in Bucovina. The concept of refurbished houses that were given new life by the Pension owners is an incredible idea! 
Initially I was a bit sceptical due to some reviews, but I must say the experience at Casa Poveste was incredible. The food was amazing and traditional. We sat on the porch of the house and had our dinner. It was amazing, I felt like a king! Sitting outside enjoying the warm weather, beautiful landscape, spending quality time with the family and having dinner. The rooms were beautifully decorated and beds were very comfortable. We could hear a bit our neighbours, however this was not an issue for us, the experience of living for a few days in a traditional Romanian house it worth it!

We did not visit very much, since a lot of touristic attractions were closed, however we went hiking on Rarau Mountain, Slatioara Natural reservation and on the hills around the Pension. 

I definitely recommend having the dinner package. 15 Euro you get starter, soup, main course, desert and drinks (water, wine and traditional Romanian hard liquor).

We were amongst their first customers after the end of the lockdown. The staff was very warm and welcoming, wearing gloves and masks.

Let's start with the food. It was simply amazing. Living abroad, I really missed the taste of some well-cooked Romanian dishes. Due to the pandemic, they were serving the food through room service and we had an excellent brunch in bed.

The area is from a fairytale.  Rarau and Giumalau heights are a must - there's a lot of friendly climbing areas to reach them.

The accommodation was great: quiet and very comfortable. We slept like kings in those beautifully refurbished traditional houses. Definitely a stunning concept.

Overall, it was an amazingly authentic experience and would love to come back with my girlfriend there. We really needed a weekend out of the city and we made the right decision.

This facility is indeed as the name says to dream for: "The Story House". It is situated nest to a forest in the mountains in a very quiet area. This is a place perfect for children as they can explore the surroundings. The staff is most kind and the food is very tasty. Highly recommend!

This is an amazing retreat. The vintage furniture makes you feel like u've been at the grandparents house but you also have modern facilities like wifi and tv. It's the best place to relax and enjoy some time alone. The staff is really hospitable and makes sure you really enjoy your time here. It's amazing and you won't regret coming here

An authentic experience of Bukovina

Great scenery, the houses are looking from the outside quite similar with the ones from an ethnographic museum, the food is inspired by the local cuisine and the staff is more than polite. I traveled with a 9 years old and we stayed in room 7 for 4 nights. This room was suitable for our needs, the tiny bathroom was a delight for the little one, even if for me it was "challenging'' and painful for my back. In the room we did not have WiFi signal. Also the cleaning services were not as expected for a 4* classification. Nevertheless, we had a good overall experience, the kindness of the staff compensated for the technical issues.
