Good
57 reviewsWe booked the place for 2 days and 1 nights last June 3-4. The place is away from the main road, which made it ideal for people who likes to be away from the hassle and buzzle of the city. The pictures displayed in Agoda is indeed the real deal except for our room. We initially booked a Deluxe Queen room thinking that it will give us a good view of the Taal Volcano. It did. The room has a full glass wall and glass door facing Taal. It is pretty good in paper but in reality the glass door squeaks and the lock located at the lower corner of the door made us feel that our privacy was not secured. The balcony that was shown in the picture made the illusion that it was a private balcony. It was not. The balcony located in front of our door and directly across our glass wall is a common area. We are sharing it with the people who are also using the pool side. The room is quite dark because the glass wall uses a thick curtain that we cannot open while the sun is out because there are people outside our balcony. Another problem that we encountered with the room were the interior lights. The room was not properly lit and had a busted main light. Because of all the concerns we had I requested my hubby to ask for a new room. He did and the management after hearing our concern and seeing the issues we laid out was kind enough to transfer us to another room. Our new room was the King Suite. The room had a perfect view of the Taal Volcano! The room was perfectly lit and was very cozy. The only thing I did not like about the room was the bathroom. The shower was not aligned with the bathtub which when switched on causes the water to spill to the floor. Good thing the bathroom is quite big and has a drainage near the bathtub. As for my hubby, he mentioned that he did not like the lighting in the bathroom because it made it very difficult for him to shave in the morning. Aside from the bathroom concern overall, the room was very nice, perfect for couples and family alike. The view was spectacular. The food (breakfast) though we consider it to be a small serving, was quite delicious. Plus the management/personnel was very accommodating! I am giving this place a 4.5*
