Casa Albini is an exquisitely restored palazzo in the hills of southern Campagnia with superb views down the valley and across the ocean to Capri. The sunsets every evening lingered for hours. This is an exceptional place to relax and not leave or as a base to explore the region from the ruins at Paestrum, to the old town of Agropoli or the mountains of the national park. There are gems everywhere including the village below (not so above), the good local restaurants with 15 minutes drive and the gelato of Matteo the sole reason to venture to the village above. This gelateria is exceptional and apparently the 15th best in Italy - well we'd like to see the other 14 as this is worth the visit from anywhere. Back to Casa Albini, we could not recommend it more highly.
