The hostel no longer exists and we were left without a place to stay.

Me and my two friends had a great time. Staff are chilled out and super helpful. Spent a lot of time just hanging out in the hostel, the wifi is very quick and the pool is a great relief from the heat. Access to their excellent kitchen can also save you a lot of money.

We stayed at Cape Town Back packers for a week and would definitely recommend it.
The location was fantastic next to the water, and we loved being able to cycle everywhere from the hostel.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room itself was big, clean and modern and the bed was very comfortable.

Great location

As a regular of the old Cape Town Backpackers on New Church Street, I was literally blown away with the new location in upscale Bantry Bay. The modern apartments are clean, bright  with shuttered windows. WiFi is good and the service from Doniel and Darren and the team as friendly and helpful as always. The property is located on a quiet cul-de-sac, with the ocean boulevard literally a few steps away and some great restaurants (particularly the 3 Wise Monkeys) a few minutes walk around the corner. I'd highly recommend this place for the budget business traveller or backpacker who wants to enjoy an intimate, more upmarket experience at very affordable prices.

Boutique Hotel at Backpackers Prices

Sadly, we were some of the last visitors to stay at the New Church Street location.  We found the accommodation to be great, but understand that the new location is a major upgrade so I can only imagine how nice it is based on the fact that we very much enjoyed our room there.  Breakfast is available for very reasonable cost, and the team is available to help you plan your day while you wait for your order or eat up.  All of the staff there was helpful, professional, able to give personal insight to help us finalize our plans each day.  I would highly recommend Cape Town Backpackers to any travelers, solo, couples, friends, families, as the team there provides a wonderful environment for their visitors.

Helpful, clean, safe, and fun!

We stayed for two days and enjoyed the space.  The rooms were clean and simple.  The location was good for long street and the hop on hop off bus. The staff were accommodating and very friendly.  We were a crowd of four staying in a shared en-suite dormitory.

Great find in great spot!

Very well situated in Cape Town. Near all restaurants and bars. The staff is welcoming. We had booked in a dormitory but they gave us a room with nobody else.  Highly recomend this backpacker to whoever wants to travel at low cost. Sure we Will stay at this place again if we come back to CT.
