We were very happy with our stay at Guesthouse California. The boss (the American owner) and the big boss (his Vietnamese wife) were lovely, welcoming and helpful with absolutely everything - negotiating prices and dealing with the airport on behalf of us regarding our lost baggage (thanks again!). The guesthouse is within walking distance (a bit over 20min) from the city centre. It's not located in the backpacker district so a good choice for anyone looking for a neighbourhood of locals and a bit of quiet. Rooms were clean and tidy and came with a lockable drawer/safe.
