Can't recommend this lovely B&B enough for a stay in Taunton. The host Ian was lovely, and really made me feel at ease. He went out of his way to help and it made such a difference. 
The beds are extremely comfortable with good pillows and duvets, and the facilities were extremely clean and tidy. The breakfast was delicious, with loads to choose from and the hot breakfast cooked to your liking. All in all, a great stay!

Great B&B with delicious breakfast!

First night away from the little fella, so decided to take a trip to Taunton, and stayed here a great bnb, lovley room, and a great traditional breakfast, would highly recommend if your in the area ..

Night away with the wife

We had a very pleasant stay at Brookfield House. We were made to feel most welcome. The bed was very comfortable and the room and decor throughout was spotless. The breakfast was promptly served and piping hot. I am vegan and was well catered for. Thank you very much. The hotel is situated right in the centre of Taunton  which was just perfect for us. We couldn't fat it.

Excellent

I stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip and I was very pleased with everything. The room and the house was immaculate, had a comfortable bed in a spacious room that was tastefully decorated. Ian, one of the owners, made sure I had everything I needed. My breakfast was probably the best one I had so far whilst away with work. The town centre is only a 5 mins walk away, a Tescos superstore is even closer. Great location, free parking (bonus!) Highly recommend it! 

Superior accommodation, VIP experience 

Jill and Ian are perfect hosts. Nothing too much trouble. House and room very nicely decorated with great attention to detail. Spotlessly clean and cosy. We stayed here during the first two weeks in December while visiting family in Taunton and the house was tastefully decorated for the festive season. Breakfast was substantial and delicious. Would recommend and definitely stay here again.

Excellent place to stay

Very nice welcome. Great bedroom (although too warm) and bathroom (new, modern). Spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast. Only downside is that Brookfield House is on the A38 and there appeared to be a series of road diversions in Taunton which made the main road appear more like the M25 all night long. My bedroom was facing the road, which made the noise issue worse than it may have been for others. 

Very good but ...noisy

Comfortable and clean B&B with a friendly welcome and very good breakfasts. A bit of traffic noise but not enough to disturb us. An easy 10 minute walk from the town centre (and 20 mins from the train station). Thoroughly recommended.

Clean, convenient and comfortable

This is an excellent place to stay. We highly recommend it. The place was spotless, the bed was comfortable, the service is impeccable and your hosts Ian and Jill were first class - and lovely people with it. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The location of the property is great, as it is less than 10 minutes walk into to the centre and to all the attractions. Think staying in Taunton, then think Brookfield House. We'll be back!

Absolutely - this is the place to stay.

Stayed at Brookfield house for 1 night on our way to Exmouth. It is a lovely old house which is decorated and furnished in keeping with its history, in a very elegant style. Our room superior double was a good size exceptionally clean with a king size bed which was very comfortable and had very good bedding. The bathroom was sparkling it had a good size shower, shower gel hair products etc. Tea, coffe, water and biscuits were provided also a decent size mirror. brookfield also have off road parking. Taunton town centre is about 10mins walk away, you have to search a little bit for the historic areas but they are there. We walked to the river and the cricket ground and had a ery good chinese meal. There are restaurants nearer to the b & b which Jill and Ian will give you info on. The breakfast room is lovely, it's very relaxing with easy chairs to sit in and read a magazine while you wait for your brekkie. Cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts and fresh juice were also available to help yourself to. Coffee was very good with nice china cups. I liked the low background music helps the relaxing ambience.
  Our hosts Jill and Ian are lovely people, very natural and easy to talk to, they have lots of info if you need it. I would give Brookfield 10/10, we couldn't fauls anything and would definately stay here again.

excellent b & b

I would highly recommend The Brookfield House.
From the moment we arrived till we left nothing was to much trouble.
Very polite and helpful.
Plenty of parking and just over 5 mins walk to the centre of Taunton.
The room was brilliant and the bed very comfy.
Breakfast was excellent and plenty.
Nothing to fault would stay at The Brookfield again.
