A nice, clean, basic hotel in a good location to explore the historical part of ascuncion. Good buffet breakfast and freevwifi.Try not to get a room at the front of the hotel which can be quite noisy until late

It corresponds in all aspects to expecations. Of course it is not a 5-star hotel (and I reviewd Sheraton as well), so one needs to adapt to the expectation of what is being booked and offered. When I stayed at this hotel, I was with 3 firends, and we stayed in a 4-people bedroom.  To be quite honest, the hotel corresponded to expectations and was ok in price (USD80 a night for 4 people) - not cheap, but ok (you can get a 3-people bedroom in Sheraton for USD140/150).

Staff was friendly, the room has a very powerful air-conditioning, was clean and spacious. We stayed there with comfort - beds, pillows and sheets were clean and comfortable.

Shower was a bit odd - water stream was too low, but for one night it was fine.

It is located in the heart of the city centre - which means you don`t get to walk around much in the evening, at least not alone. I would say it is not the safest place in the city to be sightseeing in the night. We stayed there with a specific purpose of visiting some places to buy electronic devices (SoundData, about two blocks away, has original merchandise for good price) and so the hotel served its purpose.

Breakfast included a few choices of bread, some fresh fruit, eggs, toasts, black coffee, etc. Not a first class breaksfast, but it was according to expectations.

Good and fee wi-fi and free parking space were good additions. Wi-fi was better than other 5-star hotels I have stayed in other places.

In sum, a good hotel depending on the purpose of your trip and the expectations you have in a hotel. Would stay again.

Always anticipate your Expectations

The Hotel Bristol is a small, clean, economical hotel in the Zona
 Cental of Asuncion.  It is not over-encumbered with amenities but if
 you need simple accommodations for a fair price in downtown this is a
 good choice.  Very helpful staff.

Small, centrally located......good value.

The Hotel Bristol offers nice and clean rooms in a good location in the center of Asunción including breakfast. I enjoyed my stay there and liked it for the given price. However, what I didn't like is that the AC was very loud and that you could hear every word spoken in the neighbor rooms.

Nice hotel

Asuncion is a bit dingy and run down in places but the Bristol is clean and neat with good sized rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast is really good hot and cold and plenty of fruit. Walking distance to the Rambla along the waterfront and some nice eating places nearby too. Not much English spoken by staff so be prepared with Spanish lessons as not much English is spoken anywhere in Paraguay except in the Mennonite areas. Quaint hotel all round. Would recommend it.
