Excellent Stay. Very homely and people of hotel are very good & polite. On the outskirts of kalimpong, you have nice view of the mountains. Rooms were also neat & clean.
A must stay if you are in kalimpong.

Located at “8 mile”, on the way into Kalimpong, about three kilometres from the church at the centre of town. About 150 rupees for a taxi, but be cognizant that taxis can be hard to find after 8:00 pm. The hotel is meticulously clean, and very comfortable. My room , which was large, well appointed, and very quiet, had an amazing view over the river far below, and on into Sikkim. The climate here in December is pretty chilly, and there is no central heating, but thick comforters are provided on the very comfortable beds, which proved to cozy and warm, despite the cool temperatures outside. Plenty of hot water, and obviously, no requirement for A/C! The wifi only seemed to work on the ground floor, but honestly I didn’t miss it here! We arranged the day before for a breakfast before we left, which proved to be excellent. By far the best stay in India so far, and then some! Excellent and friendly management. 

A very beautiful , peaceful hotel situated outside the main Kalimpong city on hill.
You can watch beautiful view of all sorroundings eg. hills, city.
Staff is equally good, polite.
Good service, beautiful and fully furnished rooms.
I will surely stay again and recommend it to have a pleasant stay.

Hotel is cheerfully painted bright yellow. Rooms,are big, but cold. Little heater has to work overtime. No elevator,  just stairs. Staff at reception and restaurant are excellent and speak good English.  Food in restaurant was excellent and well priced. Slow service though as everything is made fresh. 
Enjoyable stay but a bit far from centre of town. 

This hotel is great if one is looking for good quality "basic" lodging  .

It is a new property , so wall paint , furniture etc. all have got a fresh feel and everything seems very tastefully designed and selected . 

It has spacious  rooms  some of which offer great views of the mountains and the Teesta river .

The overall cleanliness and hygiene level of the hotel is good ( washrooms , bed linen etc. )  .

The staff is more homely than commercial who try to give you good service . Food served is homely and tasty and one can can give them the choice of food one needs prepared . 

Grid power situation of the place is not so good , but  there is a power backup generator  that is tuned on in case of need . 

The hotel is located bang on the main road so expect some road noise , but at the same time it is located away from the main town so provides a  peaceful setting .  Hotel has very limited guest parking space . 

Overall this place is great for a basic stay and provides good value for money .

The Breathing Stone was outside the main area and up a hill.  It didn’t matter since we were with a tour group and transportation was provided.  Our room was large, comfortable, very clean and had a large comfortable bed.  The bathroom was very nice.  We enjoyed our corner balcony with its view of the mountains.  We only stayed one night and enjoyed our breakfast before we left the next day.  Recommended.

We visited this hotel in the month of may18 with prior online booking.Room service, cleanliness were satisfactory.Food quality was also very good though taste was little bit different wrt our taste habit.Warm and smiling services is plus point of this hotel both from owner as well as staff.Little bit far from main market but regular taxis were available.Tour arrangement,dropping service and nice behavior of drivers satisfied us.The only thing disappointed us that we couldn't get room with view.
