We have been going to Lucinda's at Bowhayes Farm for 14 years.On our latest visit we were delighted to stay in the newly opened wing. A very hight standard and tastefully done with the most comfortable beds. She can now sleep 8 people.We were, as always, made most wellcome. It is such a lovely tranquil cosy place with exellent food and attention to detail.Stunning views.

Beautiful room, most comfortable bed, fabulous views.  Lucinda is the perfect hostess, nothing is too much trouble.  Breakfast was great, the scrambled eggs were perfection.
Our stay was a truly delightful experience and we will certainly be returning.  Missing the tranquillity and views already!

Stayed by Bowhayes Farm for two nights whilst attending a local wedding. Lucinda McAlpine made be very welcomed from the minute I arrived, early!  The rooms were delightful beautifully furnished and the views amazing. She is a marvellous hostess and her breakfasts are fabulous. Home made jams, locally sourced products and scrabbled eggs will stay in my memory. The farm is so peaceful all stress you may of had on arrival disappears quickly. Her dogs and horses add to the experience. I will certainly go again.

Lucinda has been able to create the most beautiful and welcoming place to stay for a few nights. I absolutely love the warm and open atmosphere Lucinda and Geoff provide as they offer amazing breakfasts and top-notch facilities in a lovely setting. The rooms could not be more spotless and yet still have a cute, quirky feel to them. I cannot wait to come back and spend more time here! xx

Incredibly beautiful and welcoming!

We have just returned from the most wonderful weekend staying at the charming Bowhayes Farm. Lucinda and Joff were perfect hosts and could not have done more for us. We could not find fault in anything. The breakfast was outstanding and the cottage was perfect and full of atmosphere. There was an aura of peace throughout the place and we loved the connection with the horses which Lucinda has reared herself. We have returned home with a feeling of total tranquility never found in a B&B before and we hope to be returning again soon.

An absolute must!

Bowhayes Farm is everything you want in a country retreat. Beautiful location, warm, friendly, comfortable and a delicious hearty breakfast. If that isn’t enough there’s a stunning view as far as the eye can see. Thank you Lucinda, you will be seeing us again.

A perfect stay

What a place - Absolutely wonderful!
I’ve just spent 5 nights at Bowhayes Farm, which is the best B & B I’ve ever stayed in. Lucinda and Joff are delightful people and great hosts. 
  The place is spotlessly clean, with piles of big fluffy towels, and the most delicious breakfast you will find anywhere. As well as a lovely big bedroom, you have your own kitchen, bathroom, lounge and entrance door. 
   Lucinda also runs a wonderful therapy business which helps people with mental problems find help and relief, using the healing energy from her horses. 
   She is determined to have the best and quirkiest 
B & B in the country, and I think she has achieved it!
  Can I give Bowhayes Farm more than 5 stars somehow?

We stayed at a nearby inn the night before but got no sleep, in desperation we found this place for our second night and it could not have been more different- Lucinda was so accommodating and even drove us to the wedding we were attendingn to save taxi money. Comfy beds and great breakfast- wished we had stayed there both nights!
