Boutique Hotel Chambre BEAU

Short business trip to Nijmegen, last minute booking. Brief, unexpected and absolutely pleasurable stay. Had phoned on the way to inform of my late arrival and requested dinner upon arrival. Great meal and very friendly service. The suite was absolutely gorgeous - very comfortable and decorated with Pieter Porters charm oozing out of every nook and corner. Every little window is a window "with a view" - located in the middle of a park which was once part of the grounds of a stately home. Seemed like an oasis of peace. Absolutely my style! Will defintely stay there again.

Old World  'Pieter Porters' charm!!

I stayed in the hotel in July of 2018.
The rooms are located in a former carriage house and stables of 'Chalet Brakkesteyn ',which is on the grounds called 'landgoed Brakkesteyn '
It is a fairytale like setting,a beautiful nature area at the outskirts of the city Nijmegen.
The rooms are very classic and inviting with all the luxuries one can imagine for a very reasonable price.
The staff was extremely friendly,helpful and knowledable.
The only thing I really didn't like was the lack of airconditioning,which made me go to another hotel in the plus 38 C. sweltering heath.
I would go there again in a heartbeat if they would install air conditioning.
Overall I had a pleasant stay and I am still impressed by the gorgeous surroundings,being woken up by the chirping of the birds and the sheer beauty of it all.
The bed was good,clean sheets and towels galore ( bring your own wash clothes)
This hotel offers an apartment  with a living room,separate bedroom,kitchen and private entrance.
The chateau itself offers fantastic foods and a beautiful selection of wine and spirits.

Characteristic surroundings

The room was underground and the ceiling was too low, also the room was dark and can hardly find the electricity buttons as the employee only open the door and left without giving us any instructions for the room. It was raining and when you were getting into the room there was not a carpet for the shoes so you have to make dirty the place till you take out your shoes. Not even water in the fridge or  instructions for coffee maschine/ No sugar, spoon anything. Also, we have booked price with breakfast but when we arrived they charge my card with less amount without breakfast and in the morning there was nobody there to ask and the restaurant was totally closed.
