When my husband fell from a window, broke his pelvis and had to spend 18 days in Santa Maria della Misericordia hospital in Perugia, La Collina was my oasis. Mere meters from the hospital (which is located off a major highway, pretty far from anything) it was calm and quiet, with a gorgeous view of hilltop Perugia. I stayed in a good-sized beautifully air-conditioned room with internet for an incredibly reasonable rate. The owners and staff were kind but non-intrusive, the outdoor restaurant superb (though, alas, I think it has since closed.) I could walk to the hospital in less than 5 minutes, sit in the lovely garden or on my private balcony - and find respite from the challenges of dealing with a medical emergency. Should you ever find yourself with someone in that hospital (also excellent) I can't recommend this little gem highly enough.
