Albergo Diffuso "Borgo delle Fonti"

Stayed here in September for 3 nights while meeting family for the first time the room we had was very nice clean and modern had everything we needed views of the surrounding farms. We ran out of time and would of like to stay longer to visit the surrounding provinces of molise short drive to termoli.
Great place to stay the staff were fantastic.


We stayed at the Borgo delle Fonti Hotel, June 2016 while exploring my great grandfather's birthplace.  Llaria, the hotel's receptionist, was so nice and welcoming!  Very helpful with directions and suggestions for a restaurant; calling ahead for us to make sure it was open.  She even helped to translate my great grandfather and great uncle's birth certificates so that we could try and locate their homes in town.  The town of Acquaviva is quaint and beautiful, free of the typical touristy atmosphere you feel in other regions of Italy.  We loved our stay!

We had a lovely and spacious room overlooking the beautiful lush valley. The room was very well kept and the bathrooms are newly renovated so you have all the modern comforts with bits of old world charm to give the place some character. Antonio and his daughter were great hosts and the price was very reasonable for what you get.

We used Borgo delle Fonti as base for a trip to the Isole Tremiti - and wished we had had more time to explore the surroundings of Acquaviva Collecroce. 
Borgo delle Fonti is a beautifully renovated old country house; the old details have been left, yet our room was functional and modern at the same time.
And Signor Antonio and his staff are very welcoming and helpful: it was pure pleasure to stay here!

I stayed at Borgo delle Fonti for one night with my mom while we were visiting Acquaviva and San Felice del Molise where my great grandparents were born.  We would have liked to stay another night or two, but the rooms were already reserved.  Antonio and his business partner did an amazing job renovating the rooms, which were previously abandoned for the last 40+ years and which date back to the 1800s.  Our room (Lucilla) had the original floor tiles; the original fireplace, wood-burning oven, and stove area were left in place but refurbished very tastefully.  You get the charm of relaxing in a historic hilltop village with the convenience of modern amenities.  The WiFi was excellent.  The light fixtures and bath fixtures were brand new and high-quality.  The room was spotless.  We were served breakfast by Giuliana, who was very welcoming and accommodating to our particular breakfast requests (since us Americans aren't used to the sweet Italian breakfast fare we asked in advance for some plain yogurt, cereal, and hard boiled eggs).  We really admire Antonio's mission to build tourism to the countryside of Molise, an area of Italy that is beautiful, tranquil, and largely unvisited by tourists to-date.  Tip: Park in the main piazza, Piazza Nicola Neri, and walk to the hotel from there.  We put the address of the hotel into our GPS and ended up with an unexpected adventure in our car, navigating the steep and narrow roads in Acquaviva's center.  You can call Antonio or whoever is checking you in from the piazza if you need help with your bags.
