Solid option.  Staff were friendly and helpful in arranging taxis and a walking tour of the city.  Restaurant is solid, rooms were comfortable with good water pressure and hot water.  Nice patio space with a view of the city - good spot to relax.

Solid choice

I got stuck here on a group trip. The hotel is so incredibly noisy especially rooms 11 & 12. Complained on 21st september. Sadly returned today and they have refused to move me. I feel as though i am sat in the middle of a motorway.
The hotel is next to some shabby looking flats with washing everywhere and between a derelict strip of land they are building on. Rude staff when asked to move. Showers barely work. Beds are as hard as nails and the pillows must be from 1905 they are so lumpy and uncomfortable. I am NOT looking forward to another 2 nights listening to traffic. Honestly avoid this shabby noisy hole

Noisy, poor food, slow wifi, terrible location

I stayed here recently on two occasions at the start and end of a trip to Madagascar. The first room I had on the second floor had a mezzanine and two double beds and was very spacious. The second time I stayed on the first floor in a room with just one double bed but it was still spacious and had a nicer bathroom. The staff in general were friendly, especially Luc on reception and the porters. The guy who seemed to be the manager in the restaurant wasn’t quite as friendly and appeared quite rude at times. The food on the whole was decent. Zebu steak and brochettes were nice and breakfast was also good. There are lots of nice outdoor terrace areas overlooking the city which I enjoyed sitting out on. The only negative was they shut the restaurant at 9pm each night and there is nowhere else in the hotel to sit inside and get drinks.

Decent rooms and nice views

Belvedere is on busy city center, on Isoraka hill. Av de Indipencia is just 10 minutes walk. Bank 5 min. Hotel is very clean and quiet. Nice view on city from restaurant balcony and some rooms. Stuff is friendly and helpful. Through old trees comes fresh wind so it is not too hot there. At 6.00 starts noise from street depending your room is.
On minus side: There is no car parking if you have one. Restaurant is bit expensive side and food is very simple for this money. WiFi is available.

Quiet place in center.

Nice hotel, suprisingly you arrive in a huge pine section. Despite being quit close to the streets of teh citu there is no noice. Rooms are fine if you have the familyrooms. good level of facilities, good food.

We stayed here based on the tripadvisor reviews. Unfortunately I would not recommend as it was noisy due to windows needing to be opened as there was no fan or air conditioning.  Views of city were lovely, and breakfast good.

Okay hotel

They have a minibar in the room.  Ok room for Madagascar.  Nice breakfast at the hotel restaurant balcony.  The restaurant serve ok food for dinner.  No safe or fan or air condition in the room. The room is a little dark. 

Ok 3 star room

Pros: interesting building, pleasant outdoor terrace areas with great views, spacious room (mine had a loft with second bed) TV, central location.

Cons: stairs could be an issue for some,  no fan or aircon, no safe.

High up with good city views

The hotel is reached by a short tiny road, but next to it is a  private parking lot. We had a standard room on an inside corridor on the second floor. No elevator. Size room 11,5 m2 and bathroom of 5m2. Bed is 1,9m x 1,4m and has good bedside lamps. The ventilator is necessary but was broken. The refrigerator has a long price list; no complimentary water or tea or shampoo.  Mosquito coil and spray can. Small TV.  I disconnected the fridge because of the noise.  Hotel room is a bit noisy because of the single window to the corridor.  Room door has a very simple lock. 
The hotel has several nice terraces with view over the city.  Communal areas with sculptures and nice decoration. 
Breakfast without buffet, choices are sweet or salty, but fast service.

Convenient hotel near city center, several nice terraces.

I stayed here at the start and end of a tour which seems to be the bulk of their business the times that I was there. The hotel is located off a main street up a quiet walkway/alley that leads to the lobby of the hotel. The hotel is a hidden gem from the surrounding buildings and you realize that right from the start. 

The lobby is small with just a desk and bench, but is manned 24 hours by Multi-lingual staff (English included along with French). The hotel has rooms on multiple floors which offer great views of the city as the hotel is on a hill. 

I stayed both times on the first floor which was a simple room with bathroom. The shower was fine and hot water available. Nothing too special about the room, but it was clean which was nice. There was a small refrigerator available as well. There was NOT a mosquito net in the room. 

The restaurant is nice and the food is good and varied. There is also a well stocked bar in the restaurant.

The lobby and restaurant are really only the place the WiFi works. 

The staff is friendly and helpful and works to make sure your stay is nice.
