Bel Sole Penthouse 1801 - 4 Br condo

We love this beautiful place with views of the Gulf of Mexico and the Little Lagoon. Higher floors give you unbelievable sunsets from two balconies, any season of the year. Amenities are plenty for all family members; workout room, indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, fishing pier, private walk to the beach. Chair rentals make it easy to relax and unwind on your vacation! 

We went to Bel Sole to look at a condo that was for sale.  The one was saw was beautiful but already under contract and only on the second floor.  But this is a fine building.  The 3 bedroom condos are large, about 2000 sq. feet.  The living rooms have wrap around 9" or 10" glass windows and sliders going onto a large curved balcony with beautiful lagoon views.  Three bedrooms and three bathrooms make for a very roomy and upscale condo.  Only 3 units per floor, carpeted hallways, two elevators for only about 49 units.  There is a pool and a long fishing dock.  Also a concierge/management lady seated at a desk in the lobby.   When we get ready to purchase, this is a building I will have my eye on through the realtor we saw who I would recommend also...Sherry Orton with ReMax. There is deeded beach access across the road which is only 2 lanes in a residential only section at the west end of Gulf Shores.  Also a work out room overlooking the pool.  It's small but would get the job done.  Extremely quiet and a ten minute drive to restaurants, etc.

This is a great place to stay in the Gulf Shores, we were invited to go with our sister and stay in the this luxurious condominium, this was such a blessing the place was out of this world, the ocean on one side and the gulf on the back side I stayed with 9 people and we could walk up & down the road from house to house visiting all the other people in the Wedding party playing in the ocean then come back and swim in our pool, We will be back

Beautiful view of the water. I guess the canal. Not a great view of the beach. You have to walk across the street to the beach. I would not stay there in the Summer,  that just my opinion.  Large rooms and nice bathrooms.

Girls trip in December

We rented #402 through Southern Rentals and Real Estate/Southern Vacation Rentals.  The unit is very spacious with a great view of the lagoon.  We saw several people out on kayaks.  

Ceiling fans and floor fans in each room which we loved.

The utensils overall were not in great shape and several were broken.

Immediately you notice that the carpet is stained.  When we arrived there were only 4 bath cloths and 3 hand towels in a 6 person unit.  The guest room sheets were dirty.  We called the office and they delivered the replacements by lunch.

Bring a sleep mask as light filters into the bedrooms even through the light blocking curtains.

The guest portal only included the elevator code and did not include the unit door code.  I noticed this before our trip and emailed the person at the rental company that I had received an email from earlier that week and they did not respond. We could not get in the unit.  Since we arrived after hours, we had to call customer service to get the door code. They stated that it should’ve been included on the portal.

Master bed and guest bedroom only had thin blankets.

Master bathroom very spacious with a built in makeup vanity.

The condo has beach access across the street. It’s really not that far of a walk but you can’t really bring a cart because there are three sets of stairs.  We took our cart on the first day but then carried everything the other days.  They are mostly homes on the beach side, so the beach was not very packed.

The dryer is a stack washer/dryer and the dryer took 2 hours to dry a regular load of towels.

A few hiccups with unit #402

Yes, they told us there would be construction. BUT, the first thing we were greeted by was the elevator which was torn down to the insulation. Very creepy, and made some pretty weird noise. Then, we noticed the wifi, TV and some outlets weren't working. That led to 4 plus hours of 4 workmen in 2 bedrooms, the living area, and the balcony - we weren't able to use the condo except to watch in horror as they vacuumed water out of the floor outlets. Next day, workmen arrived at 7 a.m. and demanded to get into the condo to reseal the windows. Told us "you signed a waiver!" That took 3 hours. OK, so no waiver is designed to prevent renters from using the condo while the property managers refurbished it from hurricane damage. Should have waited to offer it for rent until it was READY. On the plus side, the decor was cute. But not so much with guys walking around with equipment all day.
