Charming Daniela Rizzardo’s classic dream home La Locandiera is located on the French Riviera between Nice and Cannes facing a little fishing port. The hotel building is an early 1900' stone villa surrounded by a wonderful garden. The recent restoring work has been carried out accurately and with exquisite taste. The B&B is a 2-story building with 5 rooms (ours was the Palma Room) 2 of which are suites, each with an amazing sea view. La Locandiera is at a stone's throw from the beach and 2-minutes walk from the center of town. Our 2-day journey encompassed the Marc Chagall and Matisse museums, the Promenade in Nice, driving the Grand Corniche, a scenic drive overlooking the Mediterrean towns of the Riviera and Monaco, and La Turbie, and the St. Augustus monument. Beautiful breakfasts on the sunny terrace, and open windowed nighttime salty sea breezes accented our brief but blissful stay in Cagnes-Sur-Mer.
