I really enjoyed going here the animals were really friendly and we always went out to play with them.Also I loved the little house like place next to all the pods with a Xbox and games with it and a TV.The hot tub was outstanding.I can't wait to go back there again!

After reading reviews from other visitors who bought their stay at Castley Camp from Groupon as we did, we had reservations about our visit but still went along with an open mind.

Right from stepping out of our car, we were made to feel welcome with a personalised handwritten letter directing us to our pod - which was clean, comfortable & leak free - with a warm welcome minutes later from the friendly owner & her lovely two dogs.

We were pleased with the gym & sharing facilities that we'd read we're dirty & in need of improvement & we were thrilled with the hot tub & sauna. The owner was also lovely enough to prepare the hot tub & sauna for us for our requested midnight dip with no questioning or excuses... And even helped us at 2am when we realised we'd locked ourselves out of our pod!

All in all, we were thoroughly satisfied with our lovely visit that far exceeded our expectations after the horror story reviews we'd read! We had a beautiful, romantic night away in the countryside & couldn't fault a thing.

Me and 3 other girls came here for one night after purchasing on Groupon. We stayed in the New York Pod which was big enough for all 4 of us plus extra room. The camp itself is really nice. Hot tub was not working which was a shame but that wasn't a problem. There is a nice size gym and steam room. There is a house which you can use with a fully fitted kitchen living and dining room and a bath, toilets. Outside the pods there is tables and chairs which we just sat on outside. The owners dogs are so cute,  overall a wonderful trip and will definitely be going back soon.

Over exceeded our expectations!

Great for price 

Best Trip Ever!

Had a Groupon voucher to stay in a pod for up to 4 people. No adult to greet us when we arrived - just a sign up with the incorrect name on as to which pod was intended for who. Rang the doorbell and shown to our pod by a child. We were given a 2 person pod (luckily there was only 2 of us but don't think we ever did confirm how many was in our party). Tables and chairs outside to use, and pod seemed fine at first, despite being a glorified shed! Heater inside kept it nice and warm, Door was quite difficult to shut and lock. The real problem came during the night, when during heavy rain, we were woken up by a drip drip drip on one of our mattresses, which was soaked through by the next morning, sleeping bag too. Worrying when electricity inside. Upon checking out, let them know that the pod had leaked which they already seemed aware of and not very apologetic for.

This was my 3rd glamping trip this year but 1st time a Castley Camp, I bought a groupon voucher for 1 night for myself and my sister the selling point was the hot tub and sauna. I did have the same problem as other reviewers in trying to get contact the camp to make the booking always getting the answer machine and getting no reply. The pods are ok they would be better without the old carpet tiles in as they make it look dirty and some are stained. Luckily it didn’t rain thank goodness after reading the other reviews!! The pods are really close together which is ok if no one else is there but I’d hate to be there if they were all full there’s no privacy at all and your all on top of one another. There was no ‘complimentary Wi-Fi in each camping pod’ as stated.

The amenities were all there kitchen, bathroom, lounge, tv etc but it all just looked like it needed a good clean once again the old carpet tiles everywhere which were stained, it’s wasn’t a good look. (There was hot water though)

We were told when we got there the hot tub wasn’t in use the lady had 2broken feet and said she was unable to fill it on her own, then changed her story and said it was because it had been raining and it was dangerous around the hot tub…. It’s undercover and won’t people be wet when they get out of it anyway?? We were very disappointed as that was our main reason for going when we said this to her she seemed totally unconcerned and couldn’t have cared less.
So not to worry we can always make to best of what we have so we decided to go in the gym…. Both the gym rooms were filthy, the resistance gym room was so over crowded with machines and mess  there was stuff everywhere all over the floor with half a dozen health & safety issues going on and the floor hadn’t seen a hover in the last few months and more stained carpet tiles. The sauna was nice and possibly the cleanest place in the whole camp, I did suggest we maybe slept in there ha-ha!!

Overall the location and facilities have lots of potential but it looks like it’s been closed down for winter then opened without tidying or cleaning anything, everything seems half done, very strange, I would recommend they go visit other glamping sites to see how things should be and get a cleaning company in to blitz the place and get rid of those carpet tiles everywhere.

Thank god for the pub down the road that’s where we spent our evening!
