Very friendly family holiday park. 
Generous flat sites, well sheltered and a short, reasonable easy walk from Baylys Beach.
15KM from Dargaville.
There's also a great golf course nearby. 
Sharkeys, 2 minutes walk, offers takeaways and pub meals. 

An awesome tidy room well appointed friendly staff close to beach and great food spa and swimming pool available both clean and tidy parking was limited only downfall real relaxed vibe in whole area will definitely be back great for a winter or Sumner getaways

Stayed in the Ensuite Studios. Spotless clean and great bunks. The owner is super nice and the west coast beach at sunset was beautiful. We stayed here to access Kai Iwi Lakes and felt the travel was easy to a from. 

Best campsite we stayed at during our 3 months in New Zealand! Great facilities and a really nice short walk down to beautiful baylys beach. We stayed for 3 weeks and didn’t get bored of walking down for the sunsets. Trish was so helpful and friendly from the moment we got here and it makes for such a lovely atmosphere. 

Baylys Beach Holiday Park was just amazing, Easter 2022!! We had a group of friends and kids (31 in total) x5 campsites and x2 cabins and everyone just loved everything about the place. 100% would come back again, awesome little playground, clean facilities lovely helpful owner cool beach to drive along.

Awesome owners and accommodation. Couldn't be more helpful. Great cabin #8. Even kids were happy with it. They both commented on how comfortable it was. Had all that was needed. Comfortable and clean. Recommended to others, a nice kiwi style place.

We had  3 wonderful nights here. We had 7 of the basic cabins and 1 of the cabins with an ensuite. There were 20 of us including 8 (8-14) kids and a baby. 
Trish was lovely and helpful.  The amenities and grounds  were nice and  clean! Beautiful Baylys beach is a short walk, Sharkys the local takeout is 5mins walk and makes a great cocktail and takeaway! Kai Iwi lakes are not far either. Thanks Trish we look forward to coming back!

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. Beautiful grounds and very tidy and well designed. Absolutely would recommend to others and will definitely be booking my family to stay again .
Facilities were well looked after and love the fact we could take the kids for a quick play on the play ground before dinner and bed . 
Reception was very easy to talk with and accommodated for us as a large family with no problems at all.

Our whānau of 18 stayed at the campground for five days and I have to say this place was a home away from home for us and left us wishing we had booked for a longer stay. Not only was the accommodation affordable, but it also met the needs of our whānau in terms of space and location.
We stayed in three of the four self-contained baches that are located at the front of the campground – they’re all situated alongside each other which felt like our very own papa kāinga!! And one of our families stayed in one of the cabins (not self-contained). 
Here’s our highlights about the accommodation:
•	Ample space out the front of our baches – we put up a large gazebo which stayed up the whole time, that’s where we ate every night and played cards and board games etc. Each bach also had a deck with an outdoor table and chairs.
•	There’s a small playground too incl. a trampoline which was where our kids disappeared to whenever we were getting meals ready or resting after getting back from a day at the beach.
•	Although the buildings and décor are dated, the entire place is extremely clean and well-kept.
•	While the free unlimited wifi didn’t get used much by us, we were super thankful that it was available when we needed it – and it was always working too! We were even able to connect our Apple TV/Chromecast so we could watch Netflix on the TVs in the baches.
•	The bathrooms with shower & toilet were immaculate and while the baches weren’t serviced during our stay, we were able to ask for fresh towels each day.
•	It was convenient having the kitchenettes in each of the baches which were equipped with a fridge, cooktop, microwave, and the essentials to cook and dine with. There's also a couch and table with chairs.
•	Cooking in the communal kitchen amongst all the other guests was fun too - it has about half a dozen cooktops, a few microwaves, toasters, jugs, a fridge and somewhere to wash dishes. We also used the communal bbq, you just ask for the gas bottle to be replaced if it runs out!!
•	With Dargaville only 15 mins away we arranged through online shopping to pick up our daily groceries from Countdown – so handy.
•	The campground was a good place to set up base as our itinerary included visiting areas and whānau across both the Kaipara and the Hokianga – the beautiful Kai Iwi Lakes was amazing!
And lastly a special mention, and thank you, to Trish who greeted us on our arrival and made us immediately feel welcomed. Trish you have a beautiful nature that complements your beautiful campground. Good luck for this year and we hope to see you again sometime in the future.

Just finished family holiday, a group of 60 of us ! Best family trip. Trish from Baylys Camp gave us exceptional service. Facilities are old but very clean. Shared facilities, everything was very smooth for us. Nice people! Highly recommend! Chilled and peaceful.

Our favourite NZ holiday park!

Best Easter Camping Trip yet!!

An Auckland couple in our seventies who always take our dog on holiday with us, we chose Baylys Beach Holiday Park for a break from Auckland in January 2022. This was our 3rd stay in the ensuite cabin, finding its configuration and amenities clean, comfortable and adequate for our needs. The hosts as always, and the staff we met, were genuinely friendly with low-key interested daily chats that contribute to a laid back but caring atmosphere at this special place. We enjoyed leisurely revisits to the beach, local store, historic pub, museum and the Dargavile township  from our handy base. Baylys Beach Holiday Park will continue to be a favourite getaway from The Big Smoke for us, as 3 years in a row now, it has consistently delivered a no-fuss, relaxing and comfortable kiwi holiday. Thank you :)

Relaxing, comfortable and laid back

Kitchen was lovely and clean. All appliances (stove top, fridge/freezer, microwave) in working order. Hosts were friendly and helpful. We were three families who all had a great stay over Easter weekend 2021. The tent sites were spacious! Trish was great in accommodating us to have sites next to each other. Bathrooms were tidy and clean. Beach is within walking distance, with beautiful views on the way there. Campground itself had a great family atmosphere! We will be back :)

It is located a at a small and quiet town approx. 18 km from Dargaville. This holiday park was clean, nice, with spacious shared kitchen, and shared dining area and children playground. You can choose either tent or camping site, or cabins, or self contained units. The self contained unit was comfy and nice, clean bathroom and toilet, with one double, one bunk bed, fit for 4 people. Not at the beach front but you need to walk 10 - 12 minutes to the beautiful lovely beach. Friendly manager, and good wifi were the add on. Happy customer.

Definitely a MUST visit. Peaceful and calm environment. Just great for relaxing. 

We had a great time camping at Baylys Beach Holiday Park. 

The staff are so friendly and Trish is a real GEM. They go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. 

The showers and toilets are clean with hot water. The shared kitchen with all the amenities are clean and tidy. 

The play area for kids are great for their enjoyment. 

We will definitely return.

Great stay at Baylys Beach Holiday Park

I recently spent 8 days staying at Bayly's Beach Camp Ground and had wonderful stay there. I had booked a cabin with an en-suite,tv,fridge,double bed. Trish was very helpful,the room was very clean and tidy. The campground itself had everything that a camper or mid-priced family looking for decent accommodation would want or need. For the price I paid I was very happy and even though I was out there for work I would take my family back there for a holiday anytime.
