If you are looking for a place to get away, this is it. Located about a 10 min drive or 1 hour walk from Monschau, Douanehof is perfect for recharging. There are great walks by the quiet location, including the river route that leads to Monschau. The owner was extremely hospitable and very friendly. Our dogs were welcomed as VIPs and enjoyed the freedom of joining us for our meals. If you want dinner make sure and make a reservation, as the owner cooks herself. This is a recommended getaway!
