Located in between woods, walking distance from the beach, It just looks like a privately owned house from outside, calm and quiet, nothing fancy, Excellent. On the cost side, it is a budget stay, so basic amenities are available and nothing much to complain about. If you are coming to Goa to explore it to its maximum, then all you need in your Hotel room is, a good enough facility to get fresh and rest. So in that sense, the washrooms were working and ok and the beds were clean and comfortable. Next, The Cell phone connectivity will trouble you a bit but Wifi is available. The Commonplace besides the reception is great. So in short good for travelers and adventure lovers.

One of the best place to stay in goa. Right in the candolim, just a min walk. They have beautiful dorms, named with beaches. The lobby is great with few beds, and lots of novels to ready. Also they have a very friendly cat, who loves to be with you. You get to meet new people and thats the best thing. Rajan is a great guy, and we will hang around with you guys just like your friend. Just nearby there is mama ceccelia, a very amazing shack with pool and novels. Amazing place, the place is clean and perfect. Backpackers, this is the place

Cheap stay and new friends is always a great combination

am a frequent traveller and I have experienced so many different types of stays till now, backpacker panda (goa) becomes one of my worst of that.

Below are the reasons.

1)  The first impression of the location was good but then the behaviour of the receptionist is not welcoming and she behaves so rudely, forget about that they will help you with any of your requirement.

2) I was travelling with my friend during the new year, I booked 8 bad Dorm for two people after seen all the pictures of the room on Makemytrip but after reaching the hostel they allocated us two different rooms none of them is the same as which we saw online, they give some random reasons for that which are non-realistic.

3) How rooms are there?
The room which they allocated to me has no curtains on the window which is just next to my bed.

AC is not working, they put it on fan mode and even they didn't provide AC remort.

4) WiFi service and cell phone.
WiFi service is soo poor that even when WiFi router is in the same room where I am staying yet it was not connecting and due the location of the place the cell phone networks are also not available, which means you'll be left with no Internet connection.

You should read this before booking Backpacker Panda goa.

There are many great things about this hostel. Being so close to the beach was wonderful, as was having Goblin, the mischievious little kitten, to play and cuddle with.
Chill vibes at the hostel with the Den being a nice place to hang out, chat and meet new people.

The food served here is absolutely amazing, as is the service. Animesh will go out of his way to help you with anything you could ever need, and is great to hang out and chat with. It feels more like a family than a hostel.

There are somewhat frequent blackouts, but this seems to affect the whole area, and luckily doesn't seem to occur overnight when AC is needed.

The only issue is that the staff on in the morning tend to stuff things up a fair bit. You can order an omlette with two pieces of toast, they'll double check you want two pieces and then only bring out one piece. After you ask for the other piece and they say they'll bring it out, they might somehow forget still. They'll double check you want chilli and then not include it. They'll also make an iced coffee on chocolate ice cream. It's really odd because nothing like that would ever happen with the staff on in the evenings, it's honestly like a completely different place in the mornings. The masalla omlette is delicious... But you have to be lucky to actually get what it says on the menu, even when they double check with you. 

100% recomend staying here, just either avoid eating here in the mornings or accept that it's a bit of a gamble and you'll get what you get.

Extremely unsatisfied with the service. We had booked 12 beds in 2 different rooms ( one 6 bed room and one 8 bed room)and had got the confirmation of the same. We had also contacted customer care whether we ll be given the same 2 rooms or not before our booking for which they agreed without hesitation.  Also called them at noon on the day of arrival confirming the same. After we reached there, reception guys said that they cant accommodate us in 2 rooms and could provide the beds in 5 different rooms. They made us to wait for more than an hour to confirm the same. Absolute horrible experience after travelling for 14 hrs. Had to cancel our reservation because of this.

The property is great because of its location amd price. And  I want to thank Attila, one of the guys from the reception desk as he was really helpful to me and a really nice person.

People Are Very Friendly And Helpfull. Reception Is 24 Hours Open. Literally 2 Minutes Away From Candolim Beach. If You Stay At Backpacker Panda You Can Also Get 10% Discount on Mama Cecelia Shack. Awesome Experience Love To Go Again. Night Guard Siddhant Bhai Is Nice Helps A Lot. Feels Like Home. Played Cricket There Also. No Restrictions, Just Chill. Money Was Well Spent.

Best Hostel Ever

Having to pay only 200 rupees for a day here felt like such a steal to me. The location is absolutely fabulous. There is a off road from the hostel directly to the beach. The look and feel of the place is brilliant and it is managed by quality staff. Did not try the food there as I ended up cooking myself. The Outdoor shower is a great. They have a huge lounge area thats open and gives a Goan vibe. Definitely a great place to stay.

Great location and ambience

I came to Goa with my crew to shoot the video for my Debut Original Single and this is where we decided to crash and relax every day. Staying at a hostel was the first time for most of us, and I speak for everyone when I say, there's no going back from this. 

Backpacker Panda Goa is a really chill place. The rooms are clean, so are the bathrooms. Each bunker has a designated drawer with a lock, and the drawers are really huge. The staff at the reception is so welcoming and warm, they will help you out everything you wanna know, that includes details of where you should go the next day, getting a scooty, and maybe you need help booking a cab because you have drinking plans (it is Goa after all) they are gonna be there, for all of it. 

You will have multiple options for the kind of dorm you want to stay at. Mixed (Male + Female) or just all Male and all Female. Your fellow lodgers are going to be respectful of your space and comfort because most of them are backpackers, who are used to sharing rooms this way. You might as well make new friends there and end up partying with them or have them join in on your plans. 

The hostel is insanely close to Candolim beach. It's so so beautiful, definitely a very underrated beach, which is better because, the crowd is cream, the beach is clean and you will have a great time. The hostel is connected to the beach shack Mama Celelia, the food is okay, they offered a special Backpacker Discount to us! Again, really adorable reception and hospitality. 

At the hostel, you will find an unlimited supply of beer at almost all times, however, if you drink anything else, you will have to get it by yourself from outside. The common area is so fun, they occasionally have games and gin pong tournaments (basically beer pong with gin). You will have chakna (snacks) to accompany them too if you want, basically packets of lays, kurkure etc. they provide it at the reception. There are paid laundry service, a kitchen and a fridge. You can store food/ booze, heat anything or even cook something if you want. As long as you clean your plates and everything yourself. The only thing I'd change is how well lit the rooms and toilets are. Since we were there to shoot, it was a real inconvenience to apply makeup without enough light. 

All in all, definitely a kickass place to stay for chill travellers and young (your mental age) explorers. Will visit again :)

The hostle has the best environment to stay. The staff is very helpful. From the supervisor to the cook everyone is best at their job. I would love to visit backpacker panda again. Also i made alot of friends from different parts of the world. It was a beautiful experience.
