This is the definition of home away from home. Their newly renovated structure is top-notch. Great complimentary breakfast, swift internet service, serene environment and astute customer service. No club, No bar or noise. Great restaurant services also.

Home away from home

Well don't expect to be staying in a modern city like hotel. Nigeria is developing and the whole country is building and modernizing its infrastructure. The staff did the best they could with the resources they had. The food was great, very similar to puerto rican jibaro food. No forks are used only big spoons. Electricity in the entire country is rationed I went as a Academic Lecturer and history buff. I felt kind of safe but wouldn't take any chances to walk alone.

Nigeria is developing

The location is very ok, price is very reasonable. Am impressed with theirbcomplementary break fast. WiFi is so slow, House keeping services is not appreciable. Water system need to be checked it use to finished up quickly till you request them to pump it again.


Working visit

We had a lot of problems. T he toilet wouldn't flush, the shower didn't work. lights kept going off. The best thing was the internet access.

Just for sleeping

I booked into this hotel and the receptionists and waiter staff were helpful and friendly.
The hotel has a non alcohol rule and does not take money on Fridays for religious reasons. I did not find this an issue at all and there was a well stocked soft drink bar in the lobby . 
There is internet access to the rooms and the rooms were clean and tidy, but on checking in I did not have a towel in my room although it was well made up.
The hotel is in 3 blocks with the reception in the middle block and hearing a commotion outside my First Floor room I looked out to the corridor to see a steward kicking the door through of the adjacent bedroom. 
This opened and a huge amount of smoke and heat belched out causing me to run downstairs. By this time it was literally pitch black from the smoke, even though it was bright daylight outside.
Trust me you have no idea how fast smoke fills a space until you see this happen. It was extraordinary. As no fire alarm went off people were trapped in their rooms by the smoke until the electrical fire was extinguished.
Waiting in the car park I  stared in disbelief as the third block then had smoke emanating from the GF windows. I shouted there was another fire, and the stewards (who initially did not believe I was serious) then proceeded to fight the 2 fires in separate blocks with buckets of water from a standpipe- no hoses or extinguishers were evident.
It appears that a generator spike had burned out the security lights, and in my block had set fire to the airconditioner.
I did not wait around to find out what the problem was in the adjacent block, but suffice to say I wont be staying here again
That said the hotel food and cleanliness was good...before the smoke changed all that!!
 The electrics- see pictures make it a death trap with no fire doors to the rooms and live wires in the escape corridors.
