I received a warm welcome from the brilliant and very helpful staff plus a cold fresh strawberry juice. Splendid swimming pool, bar, restaurant and sitting area all attractively furnished. Excellent WiFi in each bungalow and all public areas plus a laundry service. My very large bungalow had a double and single beds each with well fitted mosquito nets. In the large bathroom the shower had good water pressure plus a pull out washing line. The food was excellent with very large portions. The menu offered very tasty seafood plus delicious desserts. Breakfast service was the best I had throughout my 5 week stay in Madagascar .

Luxurious stay with fabulous food.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights  here just before our return to France .  Beautifully laid out establishment  in an Arboretum  which fulfilled my passion for bird photography .   It was so peaceful lazing by the pool . We were warmly welcomed  by Brian , Arsene , Angelo and of course  the proprieter Andry .     We were looked after totally  and the meals were gorgeous  ( thank you Bosco ) . We had an organized trip to Augustin one day expertly animated by our guide Jonto in his perfect English .     We look forward to visiting again one day .    Andrew and Michou 

A very classy establishment , expertly run ,together with a friendly smile . 

Me and my brother stayed in this fantastic hotel. The staff welcomed us very friendly. The food was made with love. The flora and fauna park next to the hotel is amazing. Most recommended is to see the park by night. Then you see Lemurs jump trees and chameleons sit in trees. Best was our tourguide. He organises the walks in the park next to the hotel, but also the excursions. His English is superb and his friendliness very warm. Not only had we had a great excursion, it was like meeting a new friend.

Ps. De rooms were great. Good musquito net (important), good shower and clean.

A must when being near Toliara

We stay just one night before taking the boat to Anakao. The location is perfect. Better them staying in Tuléar city center. 
They have an amazing botanic garden that I my say that is obligatory to pay a visit. 
The rooms are clean, big and nice.
The food is good. 
The staff, not the owners, were the only thing that I would change :)

Really nice place 

We had a lovely stay at the Auberge. The bungalow was spacious, bed was nice and the shower hot. The food and wine were very tasty. We opted for the night walk in the garden and saw the mouse lemurs, the guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. Recommended!

Lovely

Right out of Tulear, brand new bungalows with all comforts, beautifully placed in a natural reserve, Arboretum d’Antsukay, that  you can visit with an English speaking guide. The restaurant is very good and the waiters are extremely kind. There is also a relax area with a small swimming pool. Recommend!

Turism

Considering we only used this as a transit night, it was more than we expexted. The bungalow was simple, clean and comfy. The bathroom was clean and provided hot water. The room itself was a little bit dark because the windows didn't have a mosquito net and we preferred to keep it closed, but the light was okay and they also provided insecticide - so if you decide to let the sunlight it, you can use the insecticide spray afterwards for a untroubled sleep. 

The food was extraordinary - we even stopped there again for lunch on our way back from the beach four days later

They had Wifi and delicious cocktails for a lazy night.
They provide two types of breakfast. The breakfast we chose was rich and good. If you want to eat outside you can enjoy a sandy ground, you feel like being on the beach. Nice!

We would definitely book again.

Great food and good bungalows

Really bad service and a very discourteous owner here. We are carrying a significant amount of equipment and we had a Nissan Patrol taking us around the south for this very reason. The hotel offers a "free airport transfer". Take this with a massive pinch of salt, because this is what our experience was like. 

The hotel saw us arrive in a big vehicle, took our luggage with them to our rooms and still chose to only organise a hatchback (Hyundai Atos) to take three of us, our bags and our guide's bags to the airport. When we mentioned this to the owner that it's really impractical and not right to have such an arrangement, he gave us a take it or leave it answer, stating that our only other option is to stay back. He even said that we should not come back to his place if we don't like this. He claimed that he had no idea that we had so much luggage. 

This is not great service or hospitality by any measure of imagination. If anything, I'd have expected some regret or apology for such a shabby arrangement. Additionally the rooms are awful to be able to do any work in. They have a zero watt bulb covered by an opaque surface and no natural light source except possibly an open door, which means we have to either have the reading lamps on all the time, or we need to use our headlamps which we otherwise use for night walks in the forest.

The breakfast was another disappointment. We ordered cheese omelettes because that's all we could eat because of our dietary restrictions. They couldn't even get our order right. All in all I wouldn't stay here again because it doesn't fit my needs as a traveling photographer. 

Poor service, rude owner

Auberge de la Table is named after the neighbouring Table Mountain. It is on the outskirts of Tulear and part of the private Arboretum which features plants of southwest Madagascar - especially from the spiney forest. It is approached through an area of ‘artisanal brick making.’ Our room was lovely. Generously sized with a moorish feel to the mosquito nets and floating curtains. Knockdown spray and robes were provided as well as an in room safe. There were adequate power points. The bathroom was huge with plenty of hot water after a rather long wait but at a reasonable pressure. There were a couple of outdoor chairs. The restaurant food was pleasant but vegetarian choices were limited. Lunch and dinner were the same menu. There is a small outdoor swimming pool and the area is very appealing with outdoor lanterns, lounge chairs etc. Unfortunately the WiFi was not working and the restaurant staff appeared disinterested -I suppose they are sick of guests asking for the WiFi code & complaining about the lack of connectivity. We had a guided tour through the gardens of the Arboretum with a guide who spoke excellent English and had an extensive knowledge of the plants, birds and chameleons. It was very easy walking on flat well made paths. Mosquito repellant was needed! If you can’t make it to the spiney forest then this peaceful oasis gives you an opportunity to photograph the bizarre flora. The Arboretum has an lovely shop that sells upmarket gifts and an excellent range of reference books on the plants of Madagascar as well as various natural oils and soaps.
We took a nocturnal trip through the gardens (10000Ap, take a torch) and watched a mouse lemur emerging from under the eaves, a roosting kestrel and multiple geckos and assorted other insects and spiders. During the wet season it is not unusual to see tenrecs and snakes here.
Like many places it was under-generous with supplying drinking water. Additional potable water can be purchased from the restaurant ( or take your own along!)
Auberge is quiet, elegant and relaxing.
