Auberge Ancrage 

Wonderful inn at a fantastic location, right on the Gouffre river and a block from the main street with shops and restaurants. Scrumptious 3-course breakfasts with creative dishes. The art on the walls is a highlight, with whimsical nautical items everywhere, plus 5 large extraordinary paintings by Helene Tremblay. Comfortable bed and couch, as well as a common living room and outdoor seats by the water. Friendly (mostly French-speaking) proprietor helped us find the sites. Easy parking. We were so glad we chose this beautiful inn to stay 4 nights of our vacation! Note: If you want private outdoor space, don't book the Titanic room, as the balcony is broken and off limits. There's a long list of rules, including no shoes in the house and no rolling suitcases. Also, you are expected to tip the owners, even though there's no room service, and no staff except the owners. We were surprised because US custom is to tip only non-owner staff for making up the room. Otherwise - heavenly!
