Astra Village 

I write this from the Astra Village, in September 2025. We came here in September 2024, so you can tell we like it. Koutouloufari is amazing...so quaint, but with a great buzz about it ..so laid back, welcoming, safe, and of course you are spoilt for choice with amaizng places to eat and drink. Last time we were in room 31, a pool and sea view suite on the second floor, this time we're Imin room 25, which is basically the same room with the same view, but on the first floor. Suites are refurbished to a modern and high standard. The pool is still fine, with no sunbed wars, and no early morning rush, in fact we were always the first out to get beds and that was at around 9am. There are beds available practically all day, but if you wanted a particular one, best get there before 10am perhaps. Sunbeds would massively benefit from cushions as they're not exactly comfortable. Being Greece they do allow smoking in the the bar and restaurant, and around the pool, but we just have to accept that...it's all pretty open and not too bad really. Breakfast is nice, with hot and cold selections of good quality, fresh products. The Astra is central to everything but very peaceful around the bottom of the two pools (the top pool is ostensibly adults only, but in September there are practically no kids in Koutouloufari, it's not that sort of resort). Air con is €10 a day, and you can hire a safety deposit box if you like (if you book direct with the hotel, those things are included). A welcome pack in each room would be useful...we didn't realise that the towels weren't replaced daily, so some form of pack would be good. The rooms are cleaned daily however (except sundays). Overall, another great visit, and would highly recommend.
