Argo Rooms

Rooms are on the seafront and close to many restaurants and the city centre. Very wide and cosy room, clean, great sea view in the evening and morning and with good air conditioning. The bed was great, best sleep in Crete 🤩 The host was great and waited for us until the last check-in hour ❤️

That's just an amazing and unforgettable experience we had at Argo Rooms! It has already passed more than 2 weeks that we left this amazing place and people and we still remember them with a smile on our faces! We were greeted and treated like a family members with nice small talks, explanations, recommendations and small surprises. This is the place you leave with tears of joy in your eyes and you want to return immediately after you left it.
Room was very large, with a magnificent view, beautiful large terrace and extremely comfy and clean (with special anti-covid measures of room items packed in plastic bags) and, in addition, it was cleaned every day.

Communication: that was just a pleasure to communicate with the owners who were always welcoming and glad to help, give recommendations and help you in any possible way! We just loved them like our own family!

Finding Place: the hotel is situated in front of the sea on the central promenade street so you won't miss it for sure.

Check-In: we were kindly allowed to check-in much earlier than it was planned and we were asked just for a basic information that is required by Government according to COVID-19 measures (information can be sent by email so it's super easy and handy).

Room Number: 31 (last floor with the terrace)

Room Overview: it's a very large, well maintained room with amazing view on multiple sides including the sea. You got everything you need in the room: beautiful (very new) bathroom, comfortable beds (we had 3 in total), fridge, kettle + cups, wardrobes, tables, ...

Bathroom: very new, clean, properly working bathroom with a douche and all toiletries you need

Sleeping: sleeping experience is just amazing: you got windows facing the sea and if you open them you can feel and hear the sea when you sleep and when you wake up. It's just an amazing feeling and it's hard to explain, it just needs to be tried yourself.

Internet: Wi-Fi was available in all the building with a very good speed (enough to watch films and streaming video). We had some issues with connectivity on the upper floor but I think it might be the issue of my phone as far as the tablet was doing much better.

Parking: there are plenty free on-street parking places just near the hotel. You can park your car so it's visible from your balcony (very useful).

Location: the hotel is super well situated just in the middle of everything: you got nice restaurants, beaches and supermarkets just in a few minutes of walking. We even were going to Elafonissi Beach 4 days in a row (leaving in the morning and returning in the evening) from this hotel (though it was a bit far) but we just didn't want to leave this place!

Check-Out: we had absolutely no issues with the check-out process itself but it was really hard to leave these amazing people and this wonderful place. We were offered even more presents when we were leaving but, unfortunately, we couldn't take them as far as we had only hand luggage in our airplane.

Recommendations: we do recommend this place to anyone coming to Crete! This is the hotel you want to return again and again and you can be sure that you will be more than welcome, you will have a great stay and it will be really hard to leave it (just to return back next time as soon as possible). For us, it was one of the best stays among long years of different hotels in different countries! Thank you so much and see you soon!

We stayed at the Argo Rooms in Kissamos for one night having decided to stay in Kissamos to see the archeological museum there .
We were looking for a comfortable inexpensive place to stay and these rooms exceeded our expectations The rooms were spacious and well equipped and furnished with stylish bathrooms which had obviously been recently refitted  .The added bonus was the breakfast included in the price which was  excellent and eaten in the pretty terrace overlooking the sea .
Also the staff were lovely too .A smiling face always helps the digestion first  thing in the morning .

My girlfriend and I stayed at Argo Rooms for three days. Everything was perfect: our room was clear, the breakfast was great, it was spacious, and the owners were very kind. It is an excellent place to stay if you want to visit Balos Lagoon (at 3km of Kastelli Port) or Elafonissi beach (1 hour in bus). Moreover, the bus stop is at 1km from the hotel. There are 2 markets near the hotel as well. Furthermore, there is a beach right in front of it and plenty of cute restaurants. Excellent quality/price. 

Excellent location near the water and restaurants in Kissamos.  Very friendly owner.  Room a bit dated and there were some plumbing issues when we arrived, but they were quickly addressed once brought to their attention.  Convenient parking nearby.

Lovely large bright airy room. Spotless clean. Good comfortable bed. Air con that was efficient when needed and fabulous view out to sea. Checked out side view room but for the extra 5 euros chose a seaview.
Great breakfast with good string coffee, juice and plenty of bread, cake, etc options.
Even though opposite two busy restaurants it was lovely and quiet. Parking next door, so no distance to walk. No loft but didn't bother us.
Easy to find, has character and great friendly people looking after it.
Great price for its location.
Would recommend.
