Hotel Apollo

Good place to stay if you're looking for a not expensive sleeping place in the east of Belgium more a guest house (in British standards) than a hotel which is run by the family members and 1 cleaning lady/ receptionist/ breakfast server. Very friendly and helpful people (especially Christel).. They'll give you another room without any problem (providing the place isn't full, of course) very quiet hotel situated in the green area ideal for cycling and exploring the east of Belgium. Bokrijk, Hasselt and Maastricht (theNetherlands) within a few kilometres and all very worthwhile visiting single rooms:basic but clean (try to avoid room 40: has more of an army space)but they canged me into room 34 (twin room) which was much nicer and without any extra charge. breakfast good: boiled eggs, , fresh fruit, cheese, cereals, yoghurt,...Would be nicer if not only white bread was provided. PS For the Brits and other coffee/tea drinkers: facilities in the rooms (which is not always the case on the Continent) Certainly value for money, especially in international standards
