Apartments Lorena

We booked House Pace and were in touch with Lorena prior to our arrival. On check-in day, Lorena informed me that she couldn't be at the place as she was abroad and her dad Tonci (who spoke a little English) was going to assist us. At the beginning we were a bit disappointed as Tonci didn't speak any English, he spoke a mix of German, Russian and Italian however we managed to talk about everything. We had long conversations with Tonci on a daily basis to the point that we were looking for him if we couldn't see him around, he gave us with a lot of local tips and our little one loved him. We travelled with a 20 months old toddler and the location of the accommodation is ideal for a relaxing holiday. The house is located next to Popic and Vitis wineries (1 minute away), just between Vela Przina beach and Lumbarda town. There are some steps to reach the flats and the walk to town was quite steep for a pram, however we managed to go out for an ice cream almost every night. There's a supermarket on the way to Lumbarda town (5 minutes walk away) as well as a daily fresh vegetable market. Lumbarda hosts several local events almost every night, our favourite one was the fisherman night on a Friday evening. The 1 bedroom flat had a small kitchen, bathroom and an additional sofa bed in the living room. It was small and not fully equipped, however it fitted with our purpose. The view from the bedroom window is amazing (especially at sunset), we loved sitting on the terrace for a barbecue or drinks near the pomegranate tree whilst watching the sunset over the local vineyards. There was also an outside shower and a small slide for our kid to play. On the last day we told Tonci that we were going to get a taxi to the port, his answer was "don't spend money, I will take you there". We tried to give him money for petrol at least, but his answer was "buy a present for your little one from myself instead" If you are planning to have a local experience, this it the place.
