Anndion Lodge - Backpacker

Fabulous place for a quieter experience by the river. Delightful managers who were very respectful & friendly. Our room was comfortable, clean & well supplied with all we needed. The Lodge is located close to the river for casual strolls at night. We loved the cool covered veranda for meals and spacious tree lined grounds. Well done Anndion

We have been staying at Anndion Lodge on weekends for the last 4-5 months as we have been renovating our property in Whanganui. Gary and Cath have been just awesome accommodating us. We have stayed in various rooms, apartments all perfectly equipped and spotless.  Even when they have been fully booked they managed to get a room for my husband and I.

What a lovely place to stay. Something I could tell straight away is that there is a lot of pride and care taken into all aspects. Clean, great location, lovely people and would 100% stay again! Management was superb

Easy to find and check into.  Staff were very friendly and accommodating.  My friend and I enjoyed our stay immensely, we were actually quite disappointed to go home.  The beds were great and the communal facilities were clean and comfortable.  Should I make a trip back to Whanganui I will most definitely going back there, maybe with more friends. The pool area was a great hangout for my friend and I spacious and very inviting!

Stayed with a large group. We had a poolside suite while others stayed in the lodge (Fantastic for groups). Our suite was fantastic, spacious and the super king bed was very comfortable. Great value for money and the owners were incredibly accommodating and nice. 

Anndion lodge was just fantastic, incredibly clean, amazing facilities and very helpful staff. The receptionist was super helpful and made sure we knew where everything was and answered all of our questions. Will recommend to others traveling to Whanganui and definitely will stay again. Definitely worthy of 5 stars!

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Quirky property with pool, spa and sauna. Has a function centre. Some nice grassy spaces for families. Friendly and easy check in. Convenient location, a short walk to Caroline’s Tavern, which serves great food. Will be back.

We were so happy with this venue when our granddaughter got married there last weekend. Nice motel room, nice reception room and wedding meal, and very reasonably priced.  Very close to the city and directly opposite the river.

We arrived at the hotel after 137 kilometers by bike
We were tired and the woman at the reception took such a good care of us.
She took care of us way more than usual hotel staff care for their customer. 
What a lovely experience.

Really enjoyed our stay .The staff were very friendly. We were shown to our room wich was on the first floor , The room was clean and and was comfy. 
Great shower , There was a little kitchen with a table and had all the equipment  , kettle , microwave, toaster etc 
If we ever go back , would definitely stay again

Great value for money, nice accomodation

Stayed here on a short break. Has good facilities. They had a few minor problems at the time, but management handled it all superbly. As far at value for money was concerned we could not fault it. The Spa was OK, the Sauna was Infrared and a bit of a let down if you like a really good sauna. There is normally a $15 surcharge not advertised/stated Agoda (a bit steep for what it is) for the Sauna. Some rooms are close to a very busy road, so check room if you have problems with noise. But I would not hesitate to stay here again and would be great with young families as close to the very popular play area on Anzac Parade.

Little Gem in Whanganui

A clean comfortable suite. Check-in was quick and easy and we were given helpful advice about the local walks and restaurants. We had a quiet upstairs unit with a view out over the gardens and a glimpse of the river. Great shower in a spotless bathroom and a comfortable king bed.
Would be happy to stay again and to recommend
