Really nice workers. The place provides novel and magazines for guests. The rooms in the main building are really great. Large rooms with refrigerators, each room with TV and decoder for satellite TV. Location is great as its near the Mall of Africa....just a few minutes drive from the mall, airport and the city centre. Not advisable to stay at the chalets behind the main building over the weekend as guests who stay for wedding ceremonies etc may be very noisy. Good breakfast, comes with the room. However, because lunch and dinner isn't provided, guests must make arrangements for themselves.

We stayed at Anashe Guesthouse while on a business trip to Johannesburg - reading the description and amenities list we thought we had found somewhere central and reasonable.  Unfortunately the only thing it was, was central.  Our arrival was met by disinterest and the whole feeling of the place is cold and impersonal.  The room was adequate, but no effort was made to make us feel welcome.  Toiletries in the room was clearly still left from the night before, with half wet packets lying on the basin.  Furnishing looks like it was literally just put down wherever with an empty silver bar fridge in the middle of everything.  Heavy curtains pulled back to reveal skirting boards coming loose and very dusty.  The bedding seemed clean though.
Breakfast was a dismall affair with no fruit salad, muffins or fresh coffee.  Just a few apples with instant coffee sachets and hot water.  No options of white or brown bread - just a white sliced loaf next to a crumby toaster. I skipped breakfast on the second day - just not worth getting up for.  Bacon and beans left on a hot plate that wasn't switched on.
All in all - very disappointing, will never go back and wont recommend it to anyone.  Rather pay R300 a night more somewhere else - you wont be sorry.
