Ambanpitiya Bungalow

I stayed here for some work we had in Kandy, we were shooting the Esala Perahera and couldn't find a base in the city due to the over bookings. So we used to ride into Kandy every afternoon set up and wait till the parade would end and we were then allowed to leave the city. We spent 10 days here and it was quite a nice time, an idyllic place with great food and overall amazing atmosphere. They have a restaurant at the beginning of the road. 9The whole bungalow is perched above the hill, which is still an active rubber plantation. The hill has it's own habitat with giant lizards, monkeys and other animals all along, you can hike to the radio antenna at the top and basically the whole property. The property has a kitchen too, staffed that takes care of breakfast every morning. The whole place is just magical. It also has swings and a football pitch at the back of the bungalow. On the whole worth it. The bedrooms are fairly large and the dining hall is humongous. It even has a Table Tennis Table in the middle of it which make for some exciting matches.
