Alta Villa

I wanted to experience a smaller German town located close enough to the Frankfurt airport before I continued my trip into Vienna. Eltville am Rhein was a perfect choice and staying at the Alta Villa made it even more so. It is easy to find from the city's train station--a block or so away. Upon arrival I was greeted by the owner who was friendly and enthusiastic. She made certain I had a cup of coffee in hand and my arrangements to the airport the following morning before I even checked into my room. The room itself was bright and airy and quite spacious for a solo traveler and I would guess for a couple as well. The room was clean and all furniture and comfort items were in excellent shape. The bathroom was enormous. I have stayed in rooms smaller than the bathroom in other hotels! Breakfast was typical German fare, and presented quite beautifully. It was easy to see that the owner takes great pride in the hotel and goes out of her way to do a good job. I would place it as one of the best hotel experiences I've had. I recommended Alta Villa (and Eltville am Rhein) highly to anyone traveling in the area.
