This very charming hotel is on the lake front. Close to everything. My room has dreamy views to Lake Ohrid, distant hills, and the tranquil little harbor.  Love the morning sun shine into my room's big windows. The front desk staffers were professional, friendly and helpful, especially Jelena and Goran. I couldn't thank enough for the help they provided.
Breakfast was included with 4/5 choices on offer. I loved the one with scramble eggs, tomatoes & little cheese pieces in it. So delicious and filling, I didn't need any lunch after that :)  Definitely stay here again.


Professionally Run with Friendly Staffers

This hotel has an enviable location right on the lake side.  There are wonderful views from the lake facing rooms and the hotel is also conveniently located near the restaurants and shops.   On arrival we were greeted by efficient check in staff  at the front desk.   The rooms were well presented and comfortable offering a good range of giveaways.   Breakfast is offered in the restaurant downstairs with good service from there too.  We can thoroughly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Ohrid.


Great location

This hotel is shabby. To say that the seat in the balcony had dog poo on it gives you an idea of the standard of the place. The reception staff were unwilling to do anything to remove it until the cleaning ladies arrived later in the morning.  Their response "it's nothing we've done". No, except not clean it before we arrived! The drain in the shower room gave a stale smell to the room. The quality of everything was low and it's time to update everything. Sometimes we find a chic shabby but this was cheap shabby. That said, the breakfast was ok and the location is perfect being at the edge of the old town, harbour and town centre.  We loved being in Ohrid, so the hotel wasn't so bad as to spoil our visit. But it didn't enhance it.

The hotel is in a perfect location in Ohrid, the rooms are clean and the personnel kind and helpful. My room was wide, sunny and with a lake view. I would defenetely suggest this solution. There are a number of restaurants and lake tour boats just around the hotel. Moreover the hotel itself has a restaurant just in front the lake.

Very good Hotel, great location

Stood in this hotel end of Nov 2019. Rooms look renovated, very nice. Rooms were very clean, service in the hotel was excellent. Location is very central at the lake. Restaurant serves good food, breakfast is good as well.

Excellent Hotel in Excellent Location

Our first visit to Ohrid was very pleasant, and that included our stay at the Hotel Aleksandrija. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of our room and the outstanding view. Staff is pleasant and restaurant food was good. I don’t believe there is an elevator, so if climbing stairs is difficult, check this out.  Another slight issue was the town’s very tame stray dogs having a little “party” in the street at 3 am. 

Large room with beautiful balcony and window views!

Good location, good coffee and nice food as I can see. But very rude waiters, I asked them for ice and the waiter looked at my ironically, laughed and said “haha, something else?” but not in a good way. Such a loss for the place. Big disappointment, waiters like this destroy the place completely.

Perfect location near the port in the old town. Still on the pre-port barrier we were kindly asked, "Do you have a bucking?" After we showed the reservation, we were admitted to the restricted area, and the hotel staff was waiting for us and cooperating to leave the car in the small parking lot at the entrance. Very kind staff. The rooms are wide and clean. Request a lake view room. Breakfast is rich and is provided in the hotel's restaurant. There is a very good choice from a pre-menu, ordering on the spot. Unfortunately the wait was too much, but the breakfast was perfect. “Hot” water was quite cool. The bathroom lacked a hair dryer, but in the absence of enough hot water this is hardly a problem. It would be nice to have a thermal kettle in the room, this is a 4* hotel right? Strongly recommend!

Beautiful view

Stayed here for about 3 days and was horrible. The restaurant of the hotel played loud music till late in the night and couldnt even get a good night sleep. You could even hear the receptionist speak from your room. Hot water ran out after the first night. And breakfast food wasnt really that good either.

Sleepless nights

We were booked by our tour operator and the only problem is the parking. Our driver struggled to get the minivan parked there so for those who are thinking about the parking should be a very serious concern. the hotel rooms were nice and friendly staff. I don't recommend the restaurant.
