Alea Hotel & Suites

We were a family of 3, my son was 10 y.o. Nice hotel, very good food, a lot of choices, also they have a-la carte restaurant, which must be reserved in advance. A-la carte service was not perfect, had to ask to refill wine several times, but overall it was ok, tasty food. Wine and light beer at hotel restaurants was good, but cocktails not really, I did not like those juices from tetra packs, they used to mix with. But cola and whiskey mix was good. Beach was private and nice, basic sun loungers for free, but better ones with shades were not free. There were enough sun loungers, I did not see the famous problem, like in other places where towels are dropped on them and cannot find any one free to lay down. Beach water was warm and clear. We did not use pools, as the beach was very good. Hotel has some private apartments with a fence and small pool inside, not sure I would like to take those, although it is private, but the view from the room is just a small pool and fence. This was my personal opinion, I was not living in those. We lived on the 2nd floor in a building next to the main hotel building, with a pool and hotel view, it was really nice. There was a Skala Prinou small place with some shops and restaurants on a walking distance from the hotel, we walked right on the beach to the left to reach it. We also booked a one day bus excursion trip around the island, it was nice.
