Well what an amazing experience. My foot became so painful by the time we arrived at Coton that the wonderful man on reception advised medical centre. He took me there, came and collected me after treatment and found an open pharmacy. 
On top of this the hostel was the cleanest, brightest and best equipped one e have been in. They have a seating area, well equipped kitchen and lovely showers. Washer/driers. An added luxury is complimentary towels.
I'm coming back next year!

The albergue is new and very clean. The beds are comfortable and room had big windows for fresh air.  The staff is super friendly. There is a nice kitchen space to make a meal. There are towels to use. The supermarket up the street is very well stocked.

Clean and cfirtabke in Negreira, Spain

Had I had access to wifi, I would have found the review and found another place to stay.

There are two rooms - the front room that is the common area and one large dormitory room with at least 20 - 22 bunk beds. For that number of guests, there are two bathrooms for women and only one for men. The bath mat in front of the community showers. That's right, no stalls. There was a sign on the wall instructing the guests to clean the floor after showering. What are we paying money for if we are to clean the floor ourselves? Now, I have seen fellow pilgrims leave an absolute mess in bathrooms, but this is a private albergue and I shouldn't have to do the work myself.

Go Somewhere Else!

Had I had access to wifi, I would have found the review and found another place to stay. As it was, it was a long day and two other places we tried were full. We'd seen this albergue last year and thought it looked a bit sketchy then. Should have listened to that voice in my head.

There are two rooms - the front room that is the common area and one large dormitory room with at least 20 - 22 bunk beds. For that number of guests, there are two bathrooms for women and only one for me. The bath mat in front of the showers looked grimy and there was a sign on the wall instructing the guests to clean the floor after showering. What are we paying money for if we are to clean the floor ourselves? Now, I have seen fellow pilgrims leave an absolute mess in bathrooms, but this is a private albergue and I shouldn't have to do the work myself. The bathroom light kept turning off when I was in the shower because it wasn't detecting any movement. Quite disconcerting without any outside light.

I recommend no one stay here until the owner improves the bathroom facilities and gives the place a good scrubbing.

P.S. My husband ended up with 73 bed bug bites here. Luckily I didn't have any even thought I was in the next bunk bed.

Too few services for the number of beds

The owners are so cheap. The laundry is the most expensive in the whole Camino (4€) for each machine. She put 3 machines in one drier, so the cloths stayed wet. And she didn't agreed turning the machine back on. She had a big fight with us. We felt so unwanted. 
We don't recommend this albergue... go somewhere that you'll be welcomed. 

Very bad!!!

It's one huge dormitory completely without heating. I had to do laundry, so I had to pay the completely overpriced 4€ for a machine - unfortunately the clothes didn't even feel much cleaner afterwards. But what was worse, I did the laundry in the afternoon, and it was so cold in the room that not even my hiking socks dried. Under normal conditions they are good to wear again after half an hour on the drying rack. 14hours and still wet as fresh from the machine. When I asked if it was at least possible to make an exception and let me use the dryer for free, the guy got rude and just disappeared. Seems this hostel is run by a family. Mom is the boss, and she seems to be okay, but her kids don't give a damn. Whenever you want something from them, they will just disappear somewhere to have another smoke. They even ignored my request for the complaint book, which is mandatory to provide if the customer asks for it. Don't go there, the town has enough other albergues!

Staff doesn't care if pilgrims freeze at night

it 's  not worth paying 12euros  there. 
only one shower for women. 
and it was very cold at night but totally no heating. 
it 's  much better going to stayin municipal. 
there is no fridge and microwave. 
owner is very cheap.
