After a week in Martinique ClubMed, my family and i decided to go for something different. As my kids always dreamed about a family "camping Van"holidays, we decided to go for something a bit more comfortable with an Airstream. The idea was to experience the Airstream while still being able to visit the island. Well, the pictures looked good but the experience was NOT.....First, their is no way you can cook as the kitchen stove is disconnected, 2 there is no way you can sleep as the aircon is so old and noisy that you will have to choose between Air con or NO sleep, 3 the "hot tub" did not work for 6 days out of 7, the outside bathroom had a broken toilet and shower.... Not to mention that the Airstream are few meters away from a parking where peoples come at night with their cars to listen VERY loud music and drink....So the conclusion is simple: If you are looking at a camping experience, just go next door from the Airstream paradise (FAR cheaper and comfortable as they have very well equiped tents), but, at this price, and with such a poor service, i would highly recommend a 3 bedrooms flat in the Village nearby as this will be very similar in price and much better value for money......your call....

AirStream maybe, but paradise for sure not

First, of all, directions.  Gladys emailed us to follow directions to Le Marin, which is fine as far as Le Marin, but there is some distance to go after that.  In general, after Le Marin, you need to follow directions towards St. Anne, but just as you are approaching the town of St. Anne you need to turn right at a road with a relatively small sign that says “Domaine le Belfond.”  If you find yourself in the town of St. Anne you’ve gone too far.  After the right turn, there is another right with the same “Domaine le Belfond” where one would turn right, but don’t do it.  Continue straight till you get to a parking lot with gates on your left, and the road splits with the left fork having a sign for the Club Med.  Turn left into the parking lot, go through the gates and proceed down the rather bumpy road past a bunch of small food shacks till you get to a white flag on the left saying “Airstream Paradise.”  Turn in there. 
The “lodgings” are a number of 30+ year old Airstream trailers.  The trailers have no hot water and inoperable stoves, toilets and showers and are in various states of disrepair.  But they are each next to a wooden deck with folding lawn chairs and a table and a hot tub.  On the other side of each deck is your own bathroom hut with a toilet, sink (no hot water) and shower (hot water).  We certainly missed hot water for washing dishes and shaving.  Outdoors next to the bath is a grill and 2-burner gas stove. 
Airstream provides sheets, towels (thinner than at my YMCA) and kitchenware, although you must buy your own soap, garbage bags, toilet paper, and matches.  You will not find a speck of food supplies, not even salt.  The only housekeeping provided is a change of sheets and towels once a week.
The trailers and equipment were not always easy to use.  It was very hard to open and close windows and the curtains either weren’t there or only were partially openable and closable.  There was always something that didn’t work, like the coffee machine, hot tub or air conditioning, although they usually fixed it the next day.  The Wi-Fi only worked near the front office.  Ventilation was poor unless you ran the air conditioning full-time, which made a terrible roar. A tall person coulnd’t fully stand up going through the doorways, even into the bathroom.
The trailer had only modest natural light during the day, and was not as well-lit as we would have liked at night when we had to be confined inside because of mosquitoes outside.  We particularly missed any outdoor faucet or hose to wash sand off our feet before tracking it into the trailer.  When it rained hard, there were some drips into the trailer (and the deck was soaked).  Far too often, there was music blaring from a nearby restaurant or the Club Med.   
The owners and two main staff people were very friendly and often helpful.  All of the trailers are very close to a lovely beach, which is what got us there to begin with.  But we would not go back. Oh, and if you don't speak French, you will have difficulty making yourself understood.

Beautiful spot, dingy accommodations

My Family and i were there to spend a week over Xmas. We were all excited about the idea of spending a "different" holiday and staying all in an Airstream....We liked the idea of having an outside Hot tub, outside shower and staying close to a nice beach...but the dream quickly turned into a nightmare....
To start with, the beach is extremely crowded and, surrounded by parking lots (which are bordering the Airstream "Paradise"). So, what we did not expect was peoples to stay at night on parking lots, listening to music very loudly, drinking and singing/screaming...as a result, it was impossible to sleep before VERY late every night...not ideal with 3 kids...
Then the Airstream: if you are looking at a vintage Airstream, be prepared for a VERY old Airstream. The air conditioning is so loud that you will not be able to turn it on at night, and, as you will need to keep windows closed because of the outside noise, the inside temperature will soon be unbearable....Our outside Hot tub did not work until the day of our departure (great!), the outside toilets were broken and you can use neither the oven nor the cooking stove for cooking as they are disconnected....??? So overall, a pretty poor experience.... 
If the nightly rent was priced as a standard camping, why not, but at this price, you can find a 3 bedrooms flat with ocean view in the village just nearby....So you might want to think twice before booking it.......

AirStream BUT NOT Paradise / Airstream MAIS PAS paradis....

Airstream paradise, a fantastic caravan and camping park. 
Ensure you have plenty of mozzy repellent for the sand flies. 
Friendly staff and good amenities for all. The caravans are all authentic with air conditioning and functional space and a good sized fridge. The beach and sea are on your doorstop and are shallow to allow children to play safely. 

Airstream paradise. 

We were a family of five and the trailer is definitely too small for such a family.
Beside that, the first night the A/C wasn't working properly, and there were so many mosquitoes, it was really an awful first night.
The bathroom isn't very clean...and they asked us if we would like them to prepare breakfast for the first morning: they just put some crackers, jam,milk and sugar in the fridge....
We decided to move to another place which was great!
