This year was my third visit to Fra'Viaco - a wonderful family owned restaurant very much off the beaten path. The family who I stay with ensure to go once a week when they are in Italy. The best thing to do is to arrive at about midday for a swim in the beautiful lake nearby. At about 1pm, stroll up to the restaurant for your lunch. The food is fresh and lovingly prepared. We always have a big blow out lunch, starting with delicious bruschetta and zucchini flowers, followed by pasta (I always go for the local delicacy, pappardelle al chingal!) and then a meat course, finished with tiramisu. It is my favourite restaurant in Italy, so don't miss it!
