This is a wonderful budget hotel with very spacious rooms....mini apartments...separate bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and toilet. Just right.
It's location is excellent right beside the citadel.
The manager and all the staff are particularly friendly.
Overall a very good experience.

Poor, no one cleaned a room for a two days,. Two towels for a four person family,no reception after certain time, noon on Sunday . No kettle. Bathroom looks very poor. And tired. Breakfast is a joke. No meat products at all..two pieces of cheese .. far away from town itself that’s rather sleepy and only castle to see.

Poor experience

Our advice would be to avoid this place completely. Dirty, very poor quality furnishings. The photos are a complete lie. Don't use any of the kitchen equipment or you will be charged. It is all dirty anyway. The breakfast is all cheap bread and pastries. They charge you 10 or eleven euro for rubbish food from a basic supermarket. The beds are like sleeping on the floor. Very uncomfortable. The management are disinterested and simply want your money. Please pay a little more and save yourself from our horrible experience. It's the pits. Only fit for CLOSURE. 

Don't go there. Go somewhere else. 

The only good thing about this hotel is that it is a super close walk into the Carcassonne wall. When we checked in, the lady at the counter was not very nice.  We had three rooms in this hotel, and one of the rooms wreeked of cigarette smoke.  I went to the counter to complain, and she reluctantly gave me another room and kept asking if I used the bathroom in the room that smells like cigarette.   The air conditioning did not work in all three of the rooms and I went down to discuss it and she told me some BS story that they all had to be on at the same time to work, and that it was cool enough outside and just open the window.  The windows have no screens so bugs come flying in at night with a light, but it was so sweltering in the room that I had to go buy a fan and leave the windows open  all night and listen to the loud cars drive by and  bugs flying i’ll my room. there were stains in the ceiling and mold in the bathroom. The mattresses were sitting on low pedestals which were almost on the floor. The shower and room were dingy and there was almost no water pressure. The mattress just had a flat sheet laying over the top of it and no top sheet. A good attitude goes a long way and the receptionists attitude fell super short. If I had it to do all over again, I would not have stayed here.

Really great location next to the city walls, excellent price and the staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious with basic amenities, fridge, hob, crockery etc. the decor is a little tired but generally clean. Would definitely recommend. Safe underground parking for €10 a night is convenient too

Went to drop bags off , closed at 2pm no answer to bell or phone - ended up booking another hotel as it looked awful also

The hotel is properly looked after and well cleaned. The location is excellent, close to the citadel itself and only a 15 minute walk to the town centre. I would definitely recommend this hotel for cleanness, comfort and location.

Top notch hotel.

I travelled to Carcassonne earlier and stayed at Adonis Barbacane as usual. Lovely staff. Spacious rooms. Peaceful ambience and super location between the Aude and the Castle....super. Post pandemic, it could do with a 'lick of paint'.....just like myself.
