506 reviewsIn a city the size of Buenos Aires, convenience counts for a lot. This location is ideal for tourists. We stayed 5 nights in all and were very happy. The subway station is a few steps away. The hop-on hop-off bus starting point is less than a block away. You can walk to the Colon Theatre, Ave 9 de Julio etc etc. This saves time and money as a tourist as it is so easy to get around. The room was quite small but clean and the bathroom modern for an inner city hotel. It was very good value for money. The reception staff on different shifts were all friendly and helpful in English which was much appreciated. The reception area is small and very busy most of the time. They do offer transfers at pesos 350 to the Aeroparque Jorge Newberry but not a collection service. The metered taxi fares for the same trip varied between 180 pesos to 400 pesos depending on the driver !! Breakfast was standard for Argentina and fresh fruit is somewhat limited. Emphasis is on sweet confectionery items and the croissants were good. Basic scrambled egg available as we found at most places in the 4 star hotel category. There are small kiosks / mini-mart/ chemist all in the same road selling most essentials you may need including cheaper bottled water! I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget and want convenience. It is a 5 minute subway ride to Retiro station. However there are no escalators in and out of the subway station. It was lovely after our trip to Patagonia to return again and be welcomed back.
