High View Cottage

Rishikesh

Simply superb location ! The cottage is very near to river ganga & the river rafting booking point, i would say only 10 min. walking distance. It is situated on a little hill which is difficult to climb when you walk back from the ganga. Lots of greenery nearby & very peaceful. Food is cooked in the cottage itself & is just like home. Caretaker present there Mr. Ashu is very co-operative. In the end loved staying here & looking forward to visiting  again.

Homely stay in the holy city of Ganga

There was a hotspot device that was too slow too even send an email with plain text.  (No big deal but they shouldn't advertise Wi-Fi as some people rely on it to stay in touch with their loved ones). The device was gone in the morning so there wasn't Wi-Fi at all.  

No hot water.  There was a hot water heater and it was on but no hot water came out. We didn't ask for help with this since we were already on our way out.  Perhaps there is a fix but it should have been ready to use

Starting at 6 am, the staff began attempting to open the door to our room without knocking.  4 times. This was so awkward.  

The balcony was covered in bird poop and was facing only the neighbour's yard.  Not worth the high cost for this room.  

Lastly the a/c was shut off at 11 am.  Not very friendly or professional, especially given the extra time needed to deal with the shortcomings of this property.  Stay elsewhere. 

No Wi-Fi/Hot Water

we were told that the 'cottage' is situated on the banks of the river. but there is nothing cottage about this place and only a little view of the river is possible from the terrace. From the room, you can only see other 'cottages' which make this society. Only the bedroom was furnished with clean sheets, four post bed and blue painted walls. NO efforts taken on the toilet which looks like it belongs to some 2nd grade lodge. very small water heater, stained commode, dirty shower curtain, shabby doormat. cupboards were dusty, though there was plenty of storage making the room more crowded. white cfs bulbs made the room look less stylish. standard breakfast was made by a helper.

No view, just a furnished bedroom & stained toilets

We spend unforgettable moments The rooms are divine and the attention is first rate. They took us to meet places with a unique energy, we dined on the terrace in the light of the stars and at the foot of the Himalayas. Accessible in prices and of maximum quality. Thank you! we will be back soon.

Amazing place. The best in rishikesh

Nice place to be. Calm and sere surroundings. Reasonable room price, not too heavy on pocket. Cooperative and friendly staff. Recommended for visitors to Rishikesh. The only limitation we observed was options of Indian food available but it was still manageable
