The room was excellent.  Very clean and well maintained, just what I needed and the staff were very helpful.  Something to be aware of; on the Wednesday night the nightclub downstairs finishes at 3:00am and is quite loud in the room. Probably best to go down and join them!

Good hostel near the centre of Morzine.  Excellent base for skiing and mountain biking. Clean rooms and bathrooms.  Friendly staff.  Nice bar/restaurant which serves a pleasing breakfast on the ground floor.

Let me park my car in an off street spot. The food at the restaurant was very good. Nice people and very accommodating.

Accommodating

for a short trip to port du soleil you couldn’t ask for anything more. Located right next to the alpy bus station, and walkable to both lifts, early check in was easy giving us an extra half day on the snow and facilities to shower and change after check out made this the most convenient snow hostel we’ve ever stayed at. The bar is really cosy and the new cellar cocktail bar is cool and quirky. A good breakfast that sets you up for the day. Private rooms are spacious enough and boot room does the job. If you’re the type to wait for the snow report and grab a quick few days in a resort with good apres and a bit of life without a lengthy transfer then highly recommend a stay at hideout

Perfectly located upscale hostel

Rightly or wrongly anything called a hostel leads me to have low expectations. I was very impressed. Breakfast was excellent. I stated in a room (I think there is a form) and it was clean and functional and given how little time spent in it it was perfect. Only draw book was noise travelling from other guest rooms but the typical guest seemed to be the thirty / forty age group travelling as groups of friends so whilst it bit of noise it wasn’t anything that kept me awakeIn terms of value for money - excellent and I would stay again

Far better than a “Hostel”

If you're nocturnal or like a heavy bass line lullaby to send you to sleep - this is the place for you.  If not, I strongly advise you stay elsewhere.

We stayed in Room 13 (unlucky for us), a shoebox with a bathroom larger than the remainder of the floor space put together.  The room led on to what is best described as 'the service yard' - this is where the staff smoke, laugh and shout, and have a competition every night to see who can slam shut the fire door the loudest. After this they play a lovely rendition on the beer barrels as they get them ready for the nightclub.

That's right, this place is above a nightclub, which prevents any form of sleep between 12pm and 4am, after which the bins and bottles are collected from the service yard early next morning creating a lovely wake-up call (if you're not already awake that is).

Ironically there is a sign in the foyer asking guests to keep the noise down for the night staff who sleep upstairs.  We asked the staff to keep the noise down in return, a request which was ignored.

When we complained to the manager he was unapologetic stating we should have read the reviews and that they needed to get the nightclub bar ready.  As a gesture, he offered us free entry to the nightclub - I think he seriously missed our point!!

Breakfast is meagre, especially ahead of a day on the slopes.

Rude is great name for this place!!

Loved it here, staff where amazingly friendly, good food at the bar, great atmosphere! The club is open until late hours on the weekend, lots of fun to be had here! Definitely recommend it! The rooms are spacious and clean! 

Brilliant place, brilliant staff, brilliant club!

Pros: 
- Location is good, 2 minutes walk from Avoriaz bus and close to town centre.
- Room was clean and appeared recently refurbished.
-Wifi is excellent, probably the best we've ever had in a second floor room
- Bar area was nice and well presented.
- Female staff member, Chris, was friendly and helpful
- Breakfast, although basic, was good and croissants always fresh.
- Boot room was adequately spacious and appeared to have heating (this wasn't needed at the time of our use due to spring temperatures)

Cons:
- On first night we arrived at around 8pm hoping to eat in the restaurant only to be told they had no vegetarian options as they were closing the kitchen for the season that night!  Consequently we had no options to buy a cooked breakfast in the mornings as we'd hoped to do.  We had not been told this would be the case when we booked.
- On the Wednesday evening we returned to the hotel with the intention of enjoying a night cap at the onsite bar only to find it closed - it was 10:20pm and we had been informed they opened until 11!
- We were aware of the basement nightclub but were unprepared for exactly how loud this would be - given that we were on the second floor - and even earplugs couldn't block out the noise of the base. 
- The doors in the hotel are all self closing which is an understandable safety feature, however, they all slam shut extremely loudly.  This means we were woken several times each night (bar Wednesday when the club was shut) by slamming doors when the nightclubbers returned to their rooms at 4-5am.  
- Beware of low ceilings, we had an attic room which resulted in banged heads and we are of average height so tall people would definitely struggle!
- Housekeeping was a bit random, despite the sign saying if we left the room by 10am it would be cleaned (and we always did) it was only cleaned twice during or 6 night stay.
- Boot room door was often left open (ironically the only door that didn't self close) compromising the security.  Getting up and down the stairs in ski boots carrying all your gear was a bit of a challenge.

If you're going to Morzine to party then this is the perfect place for you, however, if your main reason for being there is to ski then stay somewhere else as a good night's sleep is not an option here!

Great for party animals, not so skiers!

Rude chalet is not for the professional or couples ...... you ll find much better in morzine!

Rude chalet is a student digs very basic amenities and breakfast very bare, staff do as little as needed..... happy hour and night club till 5 am on the premises! 

It's not a pay for what you get property  there are much better for same price in morzine!   

Could have been such a diff experience had the staff made more effort on the level of service and been a little more present. Never sore more than one person at one time and majority had to go behind the bar to find help or knock on closed doors! 

Needs to focus on it's target market 

Lovely Hotel. Friendly Staff. Food (tex mex, burgers) was great with good portion sizes.
Breakfast choice was small but enough to get you ready for the Piste. 
Happy hour was great, they do 2 for 1 on cocktails and some beers.
The stand out person at this Hotel was Lucy, who went out of her way to make the stay enjoyable and easy. Even making mocktails for our 11yr old during Happy hour.
Ps. Rooms do not have hair dryers! Bring your own
