The person in charged  was so nice !!! Thank very much , we were allowed  to film . It’s a nice place, amazing food, everything it’s very good. I love it !   I it’s s o cheap as well,. Please don’t go to the papaya restaurant, bad services and it’s so expensive.

Chilled atmosphere, and basically the best spot to watch the sunset in el tunco. And during nighttime the ambient gets better. Sometimes they bring live music during sunset and makes the ambient even better.

For having the sunset beer or coctel the Monkey Lala Bar is the best place to be. Whole El Tunco is having their sunset drink there. Friendly stuff is serving you a drink while watching the amazing, colorful sunset on the beach in a cozy deck chair.

Excellent place to stay with friends, to start the party, the food is great, the pizza is awesome, the waiters and bartenders are super friendly!

The pool could be better, but for a weekend it does the job!

I just love seeing the sunset at Moneky Lala. Everytime I go I had a wonderful time. If you want a couple of drinks and great time visit them. You should taste the "micheladas" and dance on the rooftop with great music.

My buddy and I were traveling through Central America and booked this place a couple weeks before our trip… And what a great find it was! Our room was literally steps away from the sand, with a great Oceanview and a pool inside the hotel as well. This is a great place to just relax and enjoy life. We only spent a couple days here but got plenty of time to just enjoy the scenery, we found a few great bars and enjoyed some nice meals. We even had some time to fit in some surfing… Not the biggest waves while we were there but very fun. This is a little piece of paradise in the middle of nowhere… My guess is that this will be a very touristy place within the next 10 years.

Great place!

Sunset at Monkey Lala

I have been visiting Playa El Tunco for many years. It is an amazing destination with endless waves for surfing and a very laid back atmosphere. Unfortunately, Monkey La La has changed the overall experience here by cranking loud electronic music from speakers facing out to the beach most days starting at about 4:00pm.  Loud enough to have a hard time holding a conversation on the beach.  This creates a scene in which you are forced to deal with the super loud music even if you are not a patron of there establishment. This is just bad taste and inconsiderate. I have tried to contact hotel management via email, but have yet to get a response. I can't imagine paying to stay at there hotel with that much loud music. 

I truly love playa el Tunco and encourage other travelers to visit. it's such a great place. But the vibe of the beach has certainly changed since Monkey La La started there noise pollution.
