This place is basic and beautiful. There was always hot water, soap, towels, and a beer or water if you needed some. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace is just beautiful. It's one of the highest terraces in the area so you really get a perfect 360 view. This place is very affordable and safe. Really just like this place. Something special about it.

Returning visitor

This hotel was booked last minute because we forgot to book a night in Stone Town before we headed to Nungwi. 
The place was filthy, no running water, no tap water... They also advertise wifi which is not true! Nothing good to say all in all. 
The breakfast was far from enough, no choice at all, staff couldn't be bothered at all to help, all in all, a place to be avoided altogether!

Stay as far as you can from this place!

The hotel did not pick us up when we arrive at midnight, as we had agreed by email. No night reception, we had to wait 10/15 minutes to have someone open the door. 
The building in itself is weird (4 or 5 floors), very old bathroom, poor bed.

I was supposed to go back to this hotel on my way back, i cancelled the reservation and went to a much nicer one for the same price.

I do NOT recommand

We stayed for two nights in July 2015 for 75000 for a twin room. Pros were a good level of cleanliness, breakfast was reasonable although not served until 0830, a bit late for me, and a great rooftop for relaxing with a view of stone town. However, our room had partly broken windows combined with terrible incorrectly sized mosquito nets that were full of holes, resulting in us sustaining close to 100 bites between us in one night. I feel this place has great potential as a cheaper end backpacker hostel, however due to the mosquitoes we had a terrible night sleep and are now suffering. Finally, the water pressure was greatly inadequate, and the none of the hot showers worked. 

Good on some points, missing some key requirements

Good but very basic accommodation. We stayed in a double room and payed 54000 shillings. This is really a good and faire price for a stay in Stonetown. The location is close to the ferry. Don't take a cab just walk. There is no wifi at the accommodation.
