The Yogahouse

We stay in this place for 6 days, and we really enjoy a lot. The room was very nice and clean. But the best was our hoste S.P who helped us in everything. We recomend this place.

This location is close to Assi ghat but peaceful away from the intensity of Varanasi ghats.  Habib and his team prepare delicious fresh food and provide exceptional service. There is space to relax and watch life on the Ganges and do yoga undisturbed.

It really was a memorable trip for me, my wife and my daughter and our stay was really very pleasant.I think you get one of the very best view of Ganges and it was a calm environment through out when you get yourself off from the cacophony of the city.We are frequent visitor to this great city and have decided staying here in future. Habib the caretaker looked into every need of ours during our stay including choice of our food and of course all the relevant needs during our stay including our trips.

The place is perfectly situated very near the River Ganges and almost on the Ghats. One can walk to the Assi Ghat and on to the other ghats if the river is not too high. Varanasi is intense and hectic and the Yoga house is a wonderfully quiet place to rest and recuperate. It's an oasis of quiet in the busttle. The true gem of the Yoga house is Habib, the care taker and manager. He keeps the place running well, cooks simple but very tasty meals, had medical advice when we needed it, and is a gentle and very hospitable man. We felt very at home largely because of him.

Pros
Located away from main road so you don't hear the hustle and bustle vehicle. Gives you a peace of mind when you stay here. Yoga House is located at 2nd floor and the entire unit is shared between two different accommodation.The staff is very helpful. The unit provide in house simple dining facilities. The rooms are simple with basic facility but assured you will get some peaceful moment. The unit is overlooking River Ganges.
Cons
The road to this unit is not very pleasant as you need to go through alley. Rubbish everywhere but no disturbance. Also you may have some problem with taxi drivers from Airport to locate this place. For our case, we need to carry our luggage 200m as the driver thought no road to Yoga House.

A nice quiet place with all basic necessities. Rooms are big and clean, no TV and you are encouraged to walk barefoot inside the property. It is walking distance from Assi Ghat. Food is home cooked and really good. View is really good from the roof and balcony.

Pleasant Stay

Peaceful paradise in Varanasi

Value for money

Room was not clean, many cobwebs and greasy.
Owner arguing really loud with a woman (who I believe is his wife). Very disrespectful with guests.
Location also not good, need to take an expensive tuktuk all the time to go anywhere.
By far my worst experience in India.
