La Paz

I was stuck im La Paz because of the political situation and this was the best place to survive it. 
It is a very secure place some blocks away from Plaza Francisco and Plaza Murillo.
The staff where very helpful and informative and tried their best to help us going out of the city, or make it a safe place to stay if that was not possible. They even accompanied some of us on their attempts to reach the airport or Copacabana.
Also the delicious pizza and Mojitos helped a lot.
The hostel is clean, has a nice common area, good beds/matresses, stable wifi, kitchen for self-catering and everything backpackers need.
It is not a party hostel but very social and has a lot of space and opportunities to meet other people.

I have to thank everybody in the house and can strongly recommend the place.

A place to stay longer...

Due to the fact that only the staff has the key to the always locked front gate you can ring them anytime to let you in or out. While this can be annoying, it is convenient if you arrive or leave early. Plus, it makes you feel very secure. You can arrange for a taxi to be called for you any time you need it. 

The hostel itself has 4 rooms with a bathroom assigned to each one of them. Everything was clean, hot showers, warm blankets. Beds are comfortable, but do note that they have 3 level bunks, with the top one not having any rails. If you do not like heights, definitely something to point out to the staff.

They serve you breakfast and you can also buy bear and pizza in the evening, which is freshly made and the best I had in South America so far. This makes for a great feeling in the lounge area in the evening.

I only wish they would play a wider variety of music.... 

Great place to rest and hang out

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The staff was extremely helpful (especially julito) and they always made sure everyone’s questions were answered. If you’re staying in a dorm, I would try to request the middle or bottom bunk before you get there so you’re not stuck with the top bunk. The beds were pretty comfy and there’s outlets by each one! Breakfast includes two baguettes (way better than the bread offered at other hostels), coffee or tea, and FRESH juice. Overall great location & vibes, I liked this place so much I came back during my second visit in la paz. Thanks julito!!! Your help is much appreciated. 

Good vibes  

We really enjoyed our stay at this hostel. There is a nice inside courtyard, the staff is friendly, hot showers and warm beds. The location is great: in Sopocachi, where a lot of restaurants are located and 15min walk to the historic center.

The reason I put only 4 stars is that are room faced the inside courtyard: therefore there was no way to really air the room and it was smelling kind of funny from the start. Second we came back one night late and all the staff was gone. We had to climb over the fence and then we could walk inside the building as they left the front door open. This is not very safe, as everybody could have climbed over the fence and entered...

Nice hostel in Sopocachi

Nice quiet place in Sopocachi neighborhood. My bedroom had lots of space and power plugs near the beds. Nice social area and the breakfast was really good. They also do provide free towels (you just need to ask for it).

Nice quiet place in La Paz

The best beds we have slept in a long time! Really long which accommodates my long legs and curtains for privacy! Wi-Fi is hit and miss and goes off frequently. Breakfast is literally 2 pieces of bread and a hot drink but you do get fresh orange juice which is nice. The really annoying thing about The hostel is that you have to ring a bell every time you want to enter or leave the hostel and wait for a member of staff to buzz you in. Lots of people were having to wait to get let out, especially if they had a late night or early morning flight or bus. Also staff couldn't seem to work out how many nights we stayed and had our name under a different guest which caused confusion. We were also not told anything about the hostel and has to ask other guests. Not the best hostel and we only stayed as long as we did because of the beds!
