We liked this hotel a lot. We found it comfortable and convenient, and liked the self serve buffet breakfast. The staff were very helpful with restaurant suggestions, and the girl on the desk drew a very good walking route for us round the town. It is a quiet residential location, and the decor is funky and modern. We looked out over the street but had no problems with noise. There is an avenue full of restaurants nearby - 2 blocks away. There is an interesting walk down Boulevard Orono with all its old buildings down to the river, and then you can walk all the way along the river back into town at the Bandera monument. There are cafes along river - the nicest ones are at the Bvd Orono end. The cafe by the art gallery at the end of Orono is pretty good and looks out over the Parana river. The walk feels really safe as so many people jog or walk or picnic along there. I must highly recommend a visit to the Beatmemo bar at the end of Bvd Orono as they have a truly impressive range of Beatles memorabilia, a small museum and a large menu, including plenty for vegetarians. Friendly staff too.
