Victoria Falls

A consistently very good address in Victoria Falls which has been in operation for over 10 years.  Rooms are spacious and extremely clean. Very comfortable beds. Nice outdoor spaces and garden- sparkling pool. Staff (housekeepers-waiters-security guards-admin) are all very friendly and helpful.
Amadeus Garden is very good value for money.

Very good value for money - a home feel

We stayed for two nights in this pleasant guesthouse. Warm welcome by staff and owner.  Nice little pool. However the simple diner (with drinks) was very expensive (approx. 180 USD for 6 persons, almost the same price as we enjoyed in the 5-star Victoria Falls hotel!) and mixed quality (the quiche was like a piece of rubber).

Amadeus is considered a more luxury lodge in Vic Falls. 
Miriam the owner is very nice & helpful. She help you arrange anything. 
Staff super polite & kind. 
Rooms are clean - only saw one cockroach. 
Hot water is plenty. 
Bed comfy. 
Breakfast included - served our by pool. Compared to other breakfasts we have had in this part of the world - portions/choices much slimmer. 
Kind of out of town but we walked to Falls anyway - took 35 minutes. 
Kind of pricy but so is everything here in Zimbabwe as they try to get that US Dollar. 



Pretty Comfy, Clean, Polite

The room was adequate but hot. There are 2 types of rooms, those looking out onto the pool and those behind the pool rooms. The food was on the lesser level with breakfast rather meager. The prices are the same as in Vic Falls where everything is inflated. Flights can be arranged and Catherine and the staff are friendly, it not always accurate and attentive.

We were on a two week self drive trip through Namibia, Botswana and Simbawe, stayed at 9 different places and this one stuck out for two reasons. Totally inpersonal and very low standard in terms of room and meal. Yes, rooms were clean, pools was refreshing but had to be, because during the day you could not stay in the room, was too hot. Breakfast was the choice between eggs and a fruit/joghurt/cereal bowl, ok but but not great. Overall a  not so great experience for the last two days of an overall fantastic trip

Not adequate

We didn’t pick this hotel and should not have stayed here.  It was incredibly hot there and the hotel doesn’t have AC.  Plus you have to spray your room with Raid when you go out for dinner,  no mosquito net.  Prices for the food for what it was is quite expensive.  Not so good.  The food isn’t included in the cost of the room,  make sure you bring cash to pay, no credit card.

Hotel stay while visiting Victoria Falls

Three nights in comfortable beds a short 3km taxi ride or walk into the town were perfect for us at the end of a long Africa trip. Pleasant staff, great breakfast.  

Would recommend it.  Met other travellers, mostly Europeans staying here.
