My husband and I enjoyed our time at Ganda. It was as we expected, budget accommodation but had everything we needed, rooms were clean and comfortable and the location to the National Park was very close. The staff were very welcoming and attended to our every needs, including providing us ice to keep our Esky cool as well as a kettle so we could make tea/coffee at night/morning. The rooms were warm without AC but managed with the fan.
The property itself was cute and relaxing. 
We loved how the animals would come down, particularly of an evening, we came back from the park to find an elephant having around, it was very majestic and on the second night a giraffe came to visit. 
Thank you to Kelvin and staff for helping make our time comfortable. 

A nice relaxing stay

We loved being back at Ganda! Our third visit to the lodge and as ever it provided warm hospitality, an incredible spot for wildlife to gather around the water hole and cosy evenings by the fire pit. The staff can’t do enough for you and food was delicious at dinner. 

Loved being back!

This was our 3rd visit to Ganda Lodge and yet again it provided the ideal base to soak up the wonderful wildlife of Hwange.  All the staff are so friendly and helpful. If you don’t have time to go in to the National Park, don’t worry, the wildlife will come to you! They flock to the waterhole every evening - the perfect setting for sundowners. We will be back!

Glorious Ganda!

The place has a wonderful view on a pound around which we can see many animals. Well located to visit the hwange Park.

As a first-timer I was not sure what to expect and went, as one does in Zimbabwe, prepared for very contingency.  But all emergency supplies and equipment remained unpacked, since there was absolutely everything needed for a comfortable stay: coffee/tea on tap 24/7; plenty of hot water; home-from-home comfort food (including a perfectly cooked rare steak); a comfortable bed; mosquito coils....and more.
However, most impressive was the hospitality. Kelvin is a personable, hands-on manager who pays attention to detail, while Tatenda and Privilege were charming and always there to help without being intrusive.
Privilege and I spent a happy time poring over her bird book, discussing the identity of the resident woodpecker and when she spotted Meve's starlings outside the camp she called me to share her find. 30+ birds identified in three days, including a crested crane chick with its proud parents. 
Ganda is definitely a place to visit again.

A place to visit again

After traveling in a cramped van for hours, it was amazing to be greeted with ice-cold mimosas in the parking lot at Ganda! I know right away that this would be a different kind of stay. From then on things got even better. The food was great, the campfires every night were amazing, and the chalets were super comfortable and came equipped with everything from hot water to mosquito nets. The manager - Kevin - even took it upon himself to be our guide when we went on a game drive! I can’t say enough about the degree to which Kevin, Phati, Tatenda and the rest of the Ganda team went the extra mile to make sure we had the stay of a lifetime. I wholeheartedly recommend this lodge and will stay there every time I visit 🇿🇼.

While this camp isn't the fanciest camp. The staff are fantastic and the food plentiful and homely. 

Staff couldn't do enough for us and any issues raised were dealt with promptly and cheerfully.

Food was delicious and homemade with lovely starter, lovely main course and a dessert for dinner. With plenty of food.

Gorgeous location just on the edge of a pan so we could watch animals (would be even more amazing in the dry season).

Family time in lovely lodge

Excellent lodge, very clean and good staff. Kalvin and the team ensured a very pleasant day as well as helping us in the bush! Food was delicious and camp fires were great, with a nice pool to relax in. Good value for money lodge.  Definitely a place to visit!

Excellent value for money!

The view of the pan from all of the rooms is really restful and very African.

I’ve been going to Ganda Lodge for years and have always found this lodge great value for money. Not this time unfortunately.

Rooms.. Not hot water and definitely needs to be updated. I was in an old room.

Service.. very slow and very unprofessional. Camp fire area always in a mess. No enthusiasm at all.

Food ..Appalling.. The Butternut soup as a starter was just boiled milk with cubed butternut.. The next night was a piece of lettuce with a tablespoon of tinned creamed sweetcorn. TOTALLY UN EXCEPT-ABLE.

I had a very unfortunate experience with management and cooks ( who claim to be professionals 🤣🤣🤣) we were there on a breakfast and dinner deal.. it was my turn to cook Fish & Chips for lunch, was told that I COULD NOT go into kitchen to cook and prepare meal.. I was totally shocked by this.. I am a professional chef and would have thought the management would have welcomed a lesson in some cookery.. I have NEVER had such bad treatment, very insulting. Unfortunately it is an inconvenience that will never be forgotten. Very unprofessional and they have a lot to learn.. I’ve worked in the tourist industry and it’s the worsted experience I’ve had.

Such a shame as the location in AMAZING.
