Stayed at Chita logde, Samfya. Paid for 3 nights, but ended up staying 2 nights, so we asked for a refund of the last night, which they agreed to. We were informed that the money will be disposited in our account within a week. Two weeks later and no money. Contacted them, both personally and per mail, to which the again reasured us that the money was going to be refunded as soon as possible (this is 4 months ago). Went back home and have been trying to get in touch with Chita logde, without luck. 

The food at the logde wasn't as expected and far too expensive. They didn't have all the things that  were on the menu, so ended up eating fish every single time. The breakfast wasn't really good either. 

The swimming pool was very dirty and the rooms did not have mosquito nets even though there were lots of mosquitos. 

All in All i wouldn't recoomend this place.

Not worth the cost.

A newish looking hotel, a nice enough room and encouraging looking outdoor bar and eating area. The hot water didn't work in the shower (there was a nice bath though), my changed booking hadn't been past on and I needed to work to get positive assistance and engagement from the reception staff. Easy walk to big shopping mall.

My stay at chita lodge was Great . Staff are very attentive and helpful.the bar/ pool setting is faultless . Just a relaxing place to be . I would recommend this logde to any fellow travelers looking for a lodge with 5 star service 

Lovely stay at chita lodge

Our family enjoyed staying at Chita Lodge whilst holidaying in Zambia.  The room was a sufficient size for our family of four.   The bathroom was very large. It is close walking distance to the Manda Hill Mall.  The restaurant was very nice for both dinner and breakfast each day.  The staff were very helpful.   We would recommend Chita lodge to any travellers.

I was with a volunteer group and I stayed here off and on for several days. Clean rooms, plenty of space with attached bathroom. Everyone was friendly and accommodating with whatever request I had, more towels, more water bottles, whatever. And always very prompt. There are some glitches here and there, sometimes no heat or hot water. But that is what you come to expect on occasion. They tried to help in every way, more blankets, etc. if needed. Some of the time I was staying by myself, other times I shared a room. I would definitely stay here again because I felt safe and secure.   

My Comfortable Room in Zambia

Rooms had broken appliances, faulty air conditioning, plumbing etc. While I can live with all of this if there is at least an attempt at contrition, the attitude from the staff was dismissive - problems either not addressed or just completely disinterested in our enquirers.

The restaurant only had a small, limited choice of meals. In itself this isn't really an issue, but the problem lay in the inability of the staff to communicate an order to the kitchen. So after the 90 minutes we waited for our basic meals in an otherwise empty restaurant, most of our dishes were either completely wrong (fish instead of steak etc) or had the sides muddled up. We were so hungry by this stage we just accepted it.

A lot of the surrounding grounds are tired and run down. 

Breakfast is probably one of the worst I've seen for accommodation of this proclaimed level. Two different types of stale cereal, just Nescafé packet coffee available. A bowl of apples and some cheap yoghurt.

I really like to look for positives and try to highlight them but was coming up pretty light today - the pool/bar area is nice and there are peacocks, which I really like.

But that's about it!

I really hope things improve here, but now
I'd advise caution or at least low expectations with this place.
