Wow! we had a blast. We did a Safari & Victoria Falls. Zig Zag was a great location and a great accommodations. Budget friendly too. Lynne is an awesome host. She has a restaurant on the premise and there are several restaurants within walking distance. We liked Zest. Will go back.

Daddy Daughter Trip to Africa

Great location for visiting the Victoria Falls! Very welcoming, plenty of parking space. Locked compound which added a feeling of safety. Accommodation adequate, unfortunately the coffee that was made for us tasted like ground up soil mixed with hot water. Aside from that we would happily visit again but bring our own Nescafé!

Our experience at Zig Zag Lodge was extremely pleasant. The staff are friendly and helpful, they were able to arrange good transport for us throughout the trip. The rooms and bathrooms are very small but clean and comfortable. It’s a good place to stay if the falls are your main reason for visiting as it is not far al all.

Good Budget Lodge 

Really good cute place for the price! Located jsut off the main road and a 10 min or less drive from the Zambian side of the falls. Staff was really nice and the food very good too! Definitely recommend it!

Best quality price place!

We did not like the property at all. Within the property and next to the dining hall, they had an Animal shelter with lots of dogs and cats. There were at least 4/5 cats roaming in the dining hall when we re were having our food. We were a group of 4 and one of the members is allergic to cats. Have I known that they have an animal shelter within the proprty I would not have reserved the lodge. This was not mentioned at all. As we were not within walking distance of any eatery, our friend did not eat and was confined to her room. Next day when we went out she bought her food.We stayed for 2 nights. Our rooms were not cleaned or we did not get fresh towels every day.

I felt right at home staying at Zig Zag: the friendly staff and the garden setting create a welcoming atmosphere. I was travelling for a conference and I enjoyed being able to set myself up at an outside table under the shady trees to work with good wifi and a tall glass of their delicious homemade baobab juice! The place is very good value for money. The location is convenient for both Livingstone town and Victoria Falls.The food was fresh and tasty. A pleasure to have plenty fresh fruits and vegetables one doesn't always get when traveling The rooms are clean, simple, and comfortable with good aircon and mosquito nets. One of the best things about the place is that those who run it make a big conscious effort to have a positive impact in the community they operate in - they are involved in orphanage and childhood education projects, animal rescue efforts, marketing local crafts, supporting local produce endeavors  (e.g. the baobab fruits and honey for the delicious juice), etc - and its clearly not as a marketing strategy. (Engage them in a conversation while you're there if you want to hear more.) Its a lovely place to stay and to support.

Friendly and peaceful space

Staff (Manager) is helpful as we almost missed the booking of Devil's pool, and breakfast was delicious,too. If you would like to buy something, you can reach a big supermarket with about 15min walking.

Nice experience

We loved staying at Zig Zag and can highly recommend it. The guesthouse is located in easy walking distance from Livingstone town and about 7 mins by taxi (US$10) from the falls. The staff were very friendly and hospitable, and eager to help with organising tours, calling taxis and getting our laundry done. Our accommodation was a small motel style room, perfectly adequate for the little time we spent in it. We enjoyed hanging out in the lounge/bar/café area. The meals are not fancy but they are tasty and filling. The place has a great holiday atmosphere which perfectly complemented our visit to the area.

Perfect base for visiting Victoria Falls

The hotel is relative cheap for Victoria Falls area, but very good. Only few bungalows in the big garden with pool. The room is small with basic furniture, but you can stay all time outside. The restaurant was remarkable. Not as comfort, but everything made by the cook was fresh and delicious. We have drunk all reserve of wine for two days, so is needed to inform the staff in advance :) Location is just on the main street and access is easy.In general, we had nice stay in the Zig Zag.

Nice hotel in Livingstone

I'm always nervous about taking my kids (ages 4 and not quite 2) to new places, as usually their excitement is very hard to contain, and business owners do not usually show an appreciation for my little one's excitement levels.  Zig Zag, however, was fully prepared for my children before we even knew we would arrive!  

The gardens hold beautiful and comfortable resting places for the adults, while a short distance away is a fantastic child's play area with more things for them to do than they can take in at once!  (There is also a pool, however we did not enjoy it as the weather was a bit chilly on the days that we stayed.)

The owner also runs an animal rescue so the kids got their ooohs and aaaaahs in with all the cats, bunnies, puppies, and occasional birds.  

All while this was happening, my husband and I were enjoying the full resort experience at a price we could afford.  Incredible staff, very delicious food, and perfect rooms.  All this while being super close to Victoria falls, and a game park.

The owner was more than helpful with giving recommendations, and setting up reservations for our travel.  Honestly, I can't wait to go back and visit again, and hopefully this time, stay longer!
